My mate gave me a MB/CPU/RAM bundle to get started with. The MB was a GA Z77 D3H, the CPU was an i5-3470, & the RAM was Kingston KVR13N9S8/4 x3, so 12GB. I bought another stick of RAM straight away so I have 16 now. I went for a Gigabyte GTX 980ti OC edition for the GPU. I'll be upgrading the CPU & RAM in due course, & just bought an i7-3770k as part of a bundle. I'm a long way off from using it, as my living room requires a complete overhaul to accommodate my new set up.
