Journey

Wikipedia-

In Journey, the player takes the role of a robed figure in a desert. The game features no map or instructions, only a large mountain in the distance that the player journeys toward.

Sprite-

So far playing this game I'm struck by how lovely everything is even though it seems like a desolate and harsh environment. Think ICO mixed with Flower and you get the idea. So far I have encountered two people online who they were I have no idea but one helped me get to one spot I was having trouble with.

I can't say much about the story (if you can call it that) without spoiling the epic-ness and subtle nature of it. If you have a PS3 and have played ICO, Flower and liked them then you will like this.

Two screenshots - Taken with iPhone 4 of TV directly

*Threshold - Cross The Broken Bridge Without Completely Rebuilding It
*Mirage - Find The Hidden Desert Flower
*Explore - Discover All The Cloth Creatures In The Desert
*Adventure - Pass Through 15 Gates While Surfing Through The Sunken City
*Trials - Sneak Through The Underground Passage Without Tearing Your Scarf
*Ancestors - Find A Misterious Creature Hidden In The Temple
*History - Uncover All Ten Ancient Glyphs
*Crossing - Reach The Summit With A Companion And Return To The Beginning
*Rebirth Finish The Game And Return To The Beginning
*Companion - Finish The Game With The Same Partner For The Majority Of The Journey And Return To The Beginning
*Reflection - Sit And Meditate With Another Player For More Than 20 Seconds
*Wonder - Meet Ten Or More Unique Travelers
*Return - Start The Journey After A Week Long Break
*Transcendence - Collect All Unique Glowing Symbols Across One Or More Journeys

Yes, beautiful game and oh my, what an epic ending that I m deffo NOT gonna spoil here. But please, for the sake of creative gaming, take a look at this gem. Its well worth the price of a DVD. Multiple times that. :)

Btw @ sprite: You can see in the end, after the credits who you met along the way.

It's definatly worth it's price. Nice to hear that I can find out people I meet. Such a great gameso far, why can't more games have this much love and polish lavished on them?

Absolutely fantastic game. Great pacing, and an interesting backstory, that allows the player to use his/hers imagination to fill in all the blanks. It's amazing that a 2-3 hour game has more variety, depth and overall quality than most of the "big" games comming out every year.

Because CoD has taught developers that innovation, polish and quality isn't necessary to make lots of money. That's why.

I really want to get this game but trying to Finnish all my other games first.

You can't be Syria-s! There's Norway that pun was an accident!

I've played Journey once through and the only thing stopping me from playing again is a giant essay I've got due :(

I am in love with this game.
Just spent most of my second play through with one person. I knew they were an awesome partner when we were able to time our chirps so we could stay in midair. We kept on talking even until the last level.
We finished off our Journey by walking through the mountain side-by-side :)

I will download today! 👍 Hope for some good adventure like in Shadow of Colossus

It's certainly similar in some ways, although it's not relying on Bosses to progress. There's no combat at all, in fact.

That said, it's a brilliant experience. The inclusion of multiplayer was a stroke of genius. Without a second player beside you it would be merely a good game, instead of a great one.

I would like to call this art rather than a game. Although it only take 2 hours to finish the story, but it's worth for the experience you will get only for $14.99 :)

Daniel, I finished my first go round with another person by my side. I would love to play the whole thing with another person for the trophy. I need to go hunting in the desert too for the other things.

@ paniq I definatly agree with the art thing. This game plays very much like a piece of art, the music and sound is famtastic too. Its a true joy to play.

I've only played through once but intend to spend many more hours on it. It is absolutely a game that must be played, words do not do it justice. Atmosphere is so amazing, coop is nothing like what you've seen before, and the story that I've made up in my head can't be beat. I honestly think I put it in my top 5 games I've ever played, it's that good.

Must get this game. I loved flow and flower for the experience they brought with them. Journey seems to have upped the game as far as playable art is concerned.

It my only take you two hours to complete, but each journey is completely unique.

Yes, it only take 2 hours to finish the game, but actually I play it 2-3 times to unlock all trophies which is take 4-6 hours gameplay. Finally I get the white cape after unlock the 14th trophy :)

Becareful mate, since a lot of Journey's review that contain spoilers, I suggest you should wisely choose the review you want to read :)

I have just finished my second run through. Hopefully I should have the white cloak. I had a really nice guy with me for three stages, he was really helpful and I helped him get some glyphs, but I was searching for my last glyph and he was in a bit of a hurry so when on ahead of me. I hope he was ok, he even helped me get one trophy...

The meditation Trophy, everyone I met seemed to think I was mad and left

... He was good enough to get my chirps and understand what I was wanting to do.

Class game.

EDIT: Just got the white robes. Fantastic.

I'll just ask about it in here then if that's okay? 👍

I'll gladly to help to answer your question. I'll answer as quick as I can when i'm online.

Okay then, what's the main story about? Thanks for answering this when you do 👍

It's as simple as the title. You have a "journey" to do, you don't know who, where, and what are you doing. And you'll find the answer at the top of the very far away mountain. In short, you just keep walking straight to the mountain. That's it.

But the interesting parts is what will your journey gonna be? Each people had their own interpretation. But mostly, it teach us the experience of the meaning of life in this earth with another human being (our parents, relatives, friends, etc).

And the rest things I could tell you just gonna be a spoiler that you should explore on your own way. :)

It's so simple sounding, I will probably get it soon after I'm back from Barcelona on Saturday. 👍

Easily game of the year for me - loved every second of my sole play through. Will certainly be running this through many times over (as I did with Flower).

What's the install size of this game?
I don't have much space left on my drive.

The download size is just over 330mbs so I don't think it'll be much 👍

Enjoyed my first play-through of Journey last night 👍

A stellar little adventure, made infinitely more enjoyable by having another player to experience it with.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but pleasantly surprised :)
