Not my cat, nor my cloak. But I thought it looked cool

I really wanna get a Journey scarf that I could actually wear everyday.

Thought it was your cat mate, Never mind. Anyway what's the game all about and can you tell me if the gameplay is actually good in terms of replay value and such?

Yes. Yes x 1000000000. It's such an emotional game. It's the mixture of music, graphics (so amazing) and the multiplayer element of the game that makes it so awesome (in the literal, original sense of the word).

I was gonna do a fairly long write-up on why you should get this game, but I can't put the game into words. It sounds to literal or factual. Not emotional.

I'll add one thing though. If you ever meet up with someone and for some reason you lose contact with them, it's one of the worst feelings you can ever have. One example is the final level. On my first playthough I lost contact of my companion, and I thought that you can't complete the final level with someone else. I was really saddened to think that.

Then on my next playthough, I expected to never see him again so I grudgingly started to finish the level. Lo and behold, I hear a loud chirp from behind me and there's my companion! I felt elated because of it. We danced around the final bit before going through the valley in the mountain to finish the game. I'm not ashamed to say that I shed a tear or two.

Sweet! :) 👍

Any demo version of it or do I have to buy it?

I played the demo. It's pretty good, although a bit confusing without any instructions on what to do at first. At the transition to the next level it prompts you to purchase the full game if you want to continue.

Downloaded it and played it through for the first time today.

Possibly the most beautiful and touching game there is. As some has mentioned already though, it's hardly a game. It's pure art.

Finished it twice already, and I expect I'll be doing it again at least 4 more times this week. Wonderful experience.

I wanted to scream "COME ON, YOU CAN DO IT!!!" when I was walking up the mountain before you faint, I had a companion too so it was pretty emotional.

Anyone get that meditating trophy? It's just pure luck. No way to arrange it with no invites and not even knowing who you're playing with, at least until the end.
EDIT: I got it. I'm about 3-4 trophies away from 100%

I'll be buying the LBP costume eventually too, looks awesome. 👍

Is the end of Journey mens I'm dead?, are those graves belong to the players who finish Journey? So is there mine somewhere?

Something cool about ending:
Actually, throughout the game you see shooting star things coming out of the mountain. All of those are actual players, and at rare occasions, you can see two pop out one after the other

I don't think it's our (the Wanderer's) graves, but the graves of those who sacrificed theirselves during the war in order to produce more magic. Because Cloth was becoming more and more scarce, people fought over it and and war ensued. Because the People weren't able to harvest magic from Cloth Creatures, they had to harvest themselves.

Journey Collector's Edition - August 28
Neoseeker
It may be coming a little later than your typical collector's edition, since the game was released in March, but here it is. Today thatgamecompany announced the upcoming release of the Journey Collector's Edition, a $30 package that includes an impressive amount content in addition to the critically acclaimed title itself. If you're interested, the game's release date is August 28, once again exclusive to the PlayStation 3 -- naturally.

In addition to Journey, the collector's edition also includes Flower and flOw, along with an almost ridiculous amount of supplementary content:

  • 30-minute behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of Journey
  • Creator Commentary play-throughs of all three games
  • Three exclusive mini-games from thatgamecompany
  • Concept art and screenshot galleries for all three games
  • Original soundtracks for all three games
  • PS3 dynamic themes and wallpapers
  • PSN avatars including 8 exclusive new Journey avatars never released before
  • Official game trailers and developer diary videos
  • Reversible cover art
Despite the glowing recommendations of many friends, I've yet to pick up Journey -- though I can't recall why I'd postpone the decision. Here's my opportunity to make up for my procrastination. All three excellent games, including their soundtracks, in-game commentary and a full-blown documentary too? There's really no excuse to pass up this opportunity to support unique, creative game design -- unless you don't have a PlayStation 3, of course.

Check out a trailer for the upcoming Journey Collector's Edition below, as it's positively stunning. August 28 is that release date again, and the title remains exclusive to the PlayStation 3.

I'm thinking of buying this. And I've already bought Flower once and Journey twice.

If it's the same game without any new levels and locations then ill skip Collectors.

I'm thinking maybe I should clean out my closet and sell all the random stuff I have as a collector's edition.

I'll be getting the collectors edition for sure, i allready have flower but have not played Flow or journey yet.

Bought Journey and I got stuck in the underground place :grumpy:

Was it glitched or simply lost? It helps if you have a fellow wanderer that can lead you 👍

Ah maybe glitched as I couldn't get past the gate at the end where there's usually somewhere to pray before you open the door.

Oh and my fellow wanderer left me.

Finished the game, was seriously cool.

I played the demo a few weeks ago. Simply astonishing. I wish it could be bought in the Danish shops.

Game is worth to setup new psn account in US or UK so you could buy it. It's also available in EU psn. Game last only about 2 hours so it's to small to be distributed on Discs but ideal for psn / xbl

I won some PSN cards a while ago, so I bought the game again on my US account for the simple reason of sharing it to my friend.

Unfortunately he didn't like it as much as I hoped so :indiff:

A Journey art book entitled "The Art of Journey" is coming in September from thatgamecompany and Sony's Santa Monica Studio. The developer wanted to give fans of the beautiful game a deeper look into the visual development behind it, so they're releasing a book filled with all sorts of behind-the-scenes concept art, intricate pencil drawings, and 3D models printed in full color on art-quality paper.

"Readers will discover how Journey’s landscapes, cut-scenes, and much-loved robed traveler came to be," said Jenova Chen, Creative Director at thatgamecompany.

"The Art of Journey" will also feature an augmented reality feature. Readers will be able to download a free companion app for their smartphone or tablet, and when they point their devices at special images in the book, they'll see animated 3D models appear as if they were in the game.

"It’s a truly unique and innovative way to more fully experience the artwork of Journey," said Chen.

Additionally, the book will come with a voucher that will allow readerss to download a free copy of Journey's soundtrack to their PlayStation 3.

I'd get it if it weren't so costly :ouch:
