So one thing so far that was rumored is completely true. Now to see about the VSC. Still really bummed about his passing![]()

I always wondered if there are pictures from this tribute? I was born in '91, so way too young to have seen it myself and so I never really could find anything on Google or Youtube. They done the same for Senna and Ratzenberger at Monaco by leaving the first row empty.

On a grumpy aside, as tragic as the course of events has been, I can't wait to see the turd-jam of awful Photoshop "tributes" to end.
Such a Grumpy grump grumpster.
Unfortunately, since it's F1, the largest possible group of semi-motorsport fans want to jump on the bandwagon, so I kind of agree with you.
Thanks. I always expected the flags to be bigger.
Wow, looked at that for ages and couldn't spot what was missing. But yeah, now seeing them sort of a shame really (but of course, it wasn't that long ago that death was common place..).Thanks. I always expected the flags to be bigger.
NASCAR did a silent lap 3 but no safety car after the death of Dale Earnhardt during the 2001 season. With regard to the suggested VSC on lap 17 - I don't think a tribute to a racing driver should be to temporarily prevent racing from happening. I can't imagine Jules, or any other driver, would be happy with that.

The earliest mention I can find of it is here in this thread when someone suggested it.As mentioned over the last few pages; there's a rumour that the VSC will be deployed on lap 17 in memoriam. Personally I think it's without foundation but, as somebody else just noted, we'll wait and see.

I think that a minutes silence or a minutes revving on the grid...Nothing that could change the outcome of the race.
