June 2023 GT7 update prediction

Well, there's also the Instagram link thing...

iirc, they said something along the lines to not expect any more city tracks because of how many resources they need to make one vs a regular track.
I do recall reading that here some years ago, but surely they can't avoid making new city tracks forever, right? Tokyo Expressway looks quite excellent, especially now that it has dynamic time (just don't look at the base of the skyscrapers). Saying all that, it is the only known city location PD has modelled in nearly 13 years (besides GT6's 3D Ronda) so maybe there really is no plan to bring back Rome or any other street-level circuit this generation. If that's the case, hurry up with Tokyo Expressway West, North and Big!

Not a thing I'd ever have doubted, nor do I doubt Adam - and it's not limited to just one site...

... but Toyota itself doesn't appear to make a specific note about that:

I figured with the close Toyota partnership the GRC would have arrived by summer 2022, so I’ve been hesitant to predict it at all ever since

Thing is, it’s the Circuit version. Of course, if it were the normal trim, we should have gotten it sooner. You know PD want to give us those higher trim models. ;)

Before whenever the unknown GR Cup race is, most likely.
The "TBD" round is on 27th August. As the preceding Thursday isn't the last of the month, I assume the August update won't be out by then. Makes sense in that case for the Corolla to come in July if it is the unknown new Toyota.

begs the question
Poses the question. Begging the question is when something is answered by a premise that is assumed to be true:

"We need the GR Corolla for the final round of the Toyota GR GT Cup, so it's coming this month" is begging the question - a firm conclusion (that the GR Corolla is definitely coming this month) based on a premise (the GR Corolla will be the unannounced car for R7) that's assumed to be true.

But I'd guess it probably is - on the basis of the fact cars aren't usually revealed by manufacturers too far in advance because they're not allowed to do so, and that big, TBD-shaped hole in the competition.

So the kit Toyota sent to all the outlets had one press release each for the three cars, which are now on the newsroom site. But there was a fourth “fast facts” type release that just hit the major bullet points for each model that did not make it online. That’s where it’s mentioned.

I did think it was strange that it wasn’t present in the full GR Corolla release. I reached out to Sony to confirm on their end but I don’t expect to receive much insight. I’m also trying to get clarification from Toyota.

I half-thought they might have yanked it from their own releases after a stern telling-off (which also has precedent!), but the copy they sent out to the wires didn't have it either.

I do love investigating this sort of thing at midnight!

English is not my first language.
Sometimes a fail from my part will happen.
But thanks anyway

I would love to see a full 24 hours race, not some time squeezed thing, and make several races for different car classes and that includes the Classic Cars. That should keep most people happy. I think we have more than enough modern cars, let’s have the ledgendary cars that paved the way to todays cars.

I know, I have a post here bit be real no one is going to reread what they have looked so, here goes.

This is more of a hope then then a prediction. With the Roadster finally showing up, I hope they did some work to the GT Auto aspect of the car. They surr had the time. By this I mean a option to remove the hood so we can see the glorious chrome Hemi. Or, New plastic fantastic Ford engine, your choice. The suspension is all exposed, maybe have it change with the fully adjustable suspension to a Jaguar's or new IFS/IRS from a Mustang.

Full disclosure, I have yet to engine swap or suspension swap any of the 6 I have.

I wouldn’t expect the option to remove the hood for this car. That’s not an option on any car in the game and there are a very small number of cars that have “unique” modifications like this exclusive to a single car and they are all Race Cars not Road Cars. If this ever become an option I’d expect it for most/all cars, but not exclusive to the Roadster.

I have the fully adjustable suspension installed on my swapped Roadster but I don’t think there is a visual difference compared to stock like there is with exhaust, brakes, tires, etc. It’s all just chrome mostly. However it has been a long time since I’ve used either, and wasn’t exactly looking specifically for that. I do recall the fully adjustable suspension lowering PP a good bit compared to stock though (on the swapped one).

I don't know why it's still considered so absurd and unacceptable by some to expect a new track. Sure, it takes way longer to create than cars, but damn, it would be the fourth new track being added in a 15 month lifetime. Why couldn't we start to expect them at this point? GT Sport had its fourth new track added through an update in like, 7 months after release.

Possible candidates for a new track would either be: (a.) a remade fictional track, or (b.) a new IMSA racetrack.
