A lot of people tell me I don't look a day past 24 (I get carded often), coding for money since age 14 has my wrists feeling like a 50 yr old with carpal tunnel, old soccer injuries make me feel like 70 (and needing a new hip) when it is too cold, my wife reckons I act like a kid in a candy store whenver I go car shopping or for a day at the track. So ballpark would be avg((24+50+70+10)/4) = 38 .... I am actually 32 :)

Started out with Pole Position on the Atari 800XL, moved onto street racing (not proud of it though), flirted with TestDrive 2 very briefly in the early 90's, hibernated for 10 years (too busy cranking out code 12hrs/day 6.5 days/week), started going to the track on an '03 S2000 thanks to some savings from the Internet Boom, Played PGR2 on the xbox (and finished it) for 1 month whilst between jobs in '04 and got a PS2 just for GT4 three months ago (shame I am not between jobs... :grumpy: ).

Suddenly I don't feel as old as my wife keeps telling me I am :-) I'm 30.

Ballparkfigure eh?

328 yrs old before the first black coffee in the morning, 23 (actual age) most of the time, 18 when drinking irresponsibly (so whenever drinking really). :dopey: :dopey:

On a more serious note, not wanting to highjack the thread so no need to reply but playing GT4 drunk may possibly be the best way to warn people off drink-driving, I miss so many braking points if I play intoxicated. Never drunk-driven in real life but was amazed how bad my GT4 driving is.

Not the oldest... a mere 54 and a half pretty much. GT1 was what persuaded me to join the console generation and buy a Playstation... happy days...

Getting a little obsessive of the GT titles (on PS2 anyway). I have all the versions...

GT3 (Japanese, American and PAL)
GT Concept (Tokyo, Tokyo-Seoul and Tokyo-Geneva (Japanese and PAL))
GT4 Prologue (Japanese, Korean and PAL)
GT4 (Japanese, Asian/Japanese, American, PAL and Korean, now if I could find the Asian/Chinese version cheap...)

Scaff is 34, but with a wife and three kids I feel a lot older on most days.

I'm 23 on the 25th of this month.

When should you start getting grey hairs? Is 23 too young?

I blame this game. lol

just asking the age of the average racer, im 31

wait.... your name isnt michael jackson is it

I prefer to keep my age secret. I feel people treat you different depending on your age, not me though i treat everyone the same!

I'm 20.

Played since day 1, GT1. Still not particularly good though. Coming to think about it, not even a little bit good :dunce:

I'm 40 (and 180 days). The first Videogame I bought was the PSone because of Gran Tourismo... :)

dont you just hate being the first one on a new page
That would depend on what you have your threads/page set up in your user preferences. Post #61 is at the top of my page and your #82 and #83

25, been at it since GT1. Actually, I pulled all my old ones out and ran a few laps...TOTALLY different. I pretty well suck at GT1 and 2 now.

Folks, there's a forum for this kind of thing. It's called the Rumble Strip. I'll move this there in a minute. In the meantime, please assume that any thread you want to start has already been done before, and look around a little before you start another one.

Thanks.
