Okay, time to have a little fun...Since Turbines aren't very pratcical car engines, They run simultaneously with the Finals, and aren't included.

Your Nominees are...

Jet Nominees
  • G.E. 8500HP Railroad Turbine (Union Pacific "Big Blow" Three-unit locomotive)
  • G.E. I-A Turbojet (XP-59A)
  • Pratt & Whitney J58 Afterburning Turbojet/Ramjet (SR-71 "Blackbird")
  • Pratt & Whitney JT8D Turbofan (DC9, 737)
  • Rolls-Royce/SNECMA Olympus Afterburning Turbojet (Concorde)
  • Tumansky R-15B-300 Afterburning Turbojet (MiG-25 "Foxbat")

You've got three days, unlike the main thread. Also, if there's any interest, we could do Steam engines, too.

Ahh! I'm torn between the Olympus and Tumansky. I had to go with Olympus in the end.

Pratt & Whitney J58 Afterburning Turbojet/Ramjet - If its good enough for the Blackbird - its good enough for my vote

Bah, I missed the nominations. I would have loved to have nominated the Rolls Royce Pegasus :(

It'll have to be the Olympus, purely because I'm British.

DQ
This should be a public poll!

Excuuuuse me for forgetting to check the box! :ouch:

I meant to make all these public, to see who voted for what, but I forgot half the time.

I'll have to vote for the J58. Because it makes things go ffffffassssssssssssss*insertbloodcurdlingsonicboomhere*TTTT
