Just watched "Apollo 13", now I want to drive on the moon.

:banghead: I guess I'm glad Kaz didn't totally waste his development time making gimmicks that no one will play more than once?

Remember watching that at the cinema all those years ago, great film. Having the Moon in the game is interesting I guess.

Would be more interesting if it would be possible to drive there with any car in arcade mode.

I personally quite liked the Moon challenges. Not so much the mission at hand, but off-roading in that buggy doing huge jumps and flips. The atmosphere itself of course is great too.

Quite fun driving :)

And quite different from what NASA shows... Oh, wait... Wrong forum for that...

I actually have Apollo 13 on HD DVD, and was literally the only film I watched on the XBox 360's HD DVD Player expansion. Just thought that was a faintly interesting anecdote.

A few months ago, I was watching an anime called "Space Brothers" set about 10 years in the future. One of the plotlines involved a lunar rover excursion where the characters discuss how, because there's no reference points, it's difficult to tell the distance of the topography. Doing the lunar missions reminded me of it. Both the series and the game got technical advice from JAXA, Japan's national aerospace agency. The show also has the distinction of having the first voice acting recorded from space.

Watch the movie Moon
You'll never, EVER, want to drive on the moon again.
That said, it is a really, really good movie, so you should watch it regardless.

You mean that thing I played once, took a screenshot, and will likely never, ever play again unless they unlock the payouts? That was definitely a worthwhile investment of development time and resources over, say, race features including those that were already present in GT5 (shuffle races, one-make practice races, optional mechanical damage in practice, etc). :banghead:
