’Drifting’ and ‘Autocross’ is for the weak. We only do maximum velocity.” -Unknown Mid Night Club member.

Whether or not you agree with that statement, you have to admit that the Mid Night Club (“Middo Naito Kurabu” in Japanese), was one of the best street racing crews that ever existed, not only for their high standard of driving and cars, as well as their 180mph-200mph exploits, but also for their extreme emphasis on the safety of other road users. Welcome to Kaza’s Mid Night Club, a highway racing club taking inspiration from Wangan Midnight, Tokyo Xtreme Racer, and the legendary Mid Night Club.

Rules

There are certain rules that members are expected to follow to ensure their experience is fair and enjoyable.

· Please follow instructions given by Firehound427 (me) and KazaMR2.

· Be respectful to other members at all times.

· No deliberately taking other racers out. Dirty driving is unacceptable.

· If you have an issue, take it up with me or KazaMR2.

· No spamming the thread please. A private chat may be opened for off-topic chat.

· Please follow the rules concerning vehicles, which can be read below.

Any member found to be in violation of these rules may be given a warning. The warning system works as follows:

1st Offence: Caution, no action taken against the offender

2nd Offence: 1 lobby ban, offender will not be allowed to join the next lobby

3rd Offence: 7 day ban, offender will not be allowed to join any lobby created for a week

4th Offence: Permanent club ban, offender will be removed from the Members List and will not be allowed to join any club lobbies

Tracks & Events

As a highway racing club, H&K’s Mid Night Club will primarily race on Special Stage Route 7. Events will also be hosted on Special Stage Route 5, as a C1-type stage. Occasionally, lobbies will be hosted on Special Stage Route X to allow members to tune their cars for maximum speed. As a Hakone-style track, the recently-released Circuito de la Sierra will play host to touge racing, with a possibility for more touge events in the future.

There will be several different types of events held in club lobbies:

Cruise: In a free-roam lobby, members can drive however they want, wherever they want, and generally have a good time. Other events will be launched from cruises.

Battle: A race across one lap (SSR7) or three laps (SSR5) to find the fastest car and driver.

Speedtrap: A speedtrap will be set up at the end of the tunnel at SSR7. Members line up at the beginning of the tunnel and set off one at a time to see how fast they can blast through the speedtrap. The winner is the fastest car at the end of the tunnel.

Time Attack: An SSR5 and SSR7 event where the goal is to set the fastest lap time around the highway loop.

Duel: Two cars race from one end of the highway to the other on SSR7, or from one Parking Area to another on Sierra. First car to arrive at the agreed finishing point wins the duel.

Cars

One of the aims of this club is to encourage a variety of cars. If someone wants to drive a car that they are comfortable with and they like driving, then that’s great, but it would also be great to see many different cars showing up. However, in the interests of fair competition, there are a few restrictions that are in place to ensure that the playing field is as even as possible.

Restrictions:

Events will be restricted with power allowed from anywhere between 500HP and 800HP. A weight limit of 900kg will also be enforced, as will a limit on tires to Sports Soft or lower.

Vehicles must be street legal at the time of purchase. No race cars, Touring Cars, D1 cars or vehicles otherwise illegal to drive on the street will be allowed.

No supercars. We don’t want a McLaren F1 or a Huayra showing up to these events, and those driving supercars will be asked to drive another car. Repeat offenders will be warned. Some supercars may be permitted, and will be added to the permitted cars list.

Some cars may exhibit a higher level of performance than others in particular races. These vehicles will be allowed to race, but will be added to a Restricted Access List. A member who wins with such a car will be asked to retire the car for the rest of the session.

Cars from tuning companies (Amuse, RE Amemiya, Nismo etc.) are allowed as long as they comply with the regulations.

Nitrous is currently prohibited. There are no current plans to allow it, though this may change in the future.

As of the current version of this club, the following cars are permitted:

Japanese: Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota and tuned cars are allowed. More Japanese cars may be permitted in future.

American: Chevrolets are currently allowed. More American cars may be permitted in future.

European: RUFs, Mercedes-Benzes, BMWs, Lotuses and Lamborghinis (with certain cars on the restricted access list) are currently allowed.

Restricted Access List:

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C7
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4
Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV

Lobbies Hosted

I plan to run a regular lobby every Saturday night, from 19:30 to 21:30 GMT. Lobbies may be hosted at any other time by KazaMR2. Notice of these lobbies should be given two days prior.

The next scheduled lobby will be hosted: Saturday 13/12/2014 @ 19:30 GMT

OP Version History

V1.0 (25/9/14): Club started
V1.1 (27/9/14): Nitrous prohibited, scheduled lobby times changed
V1.2 (1/10/14): Mercedes-Benz vehicles now allowed
V1.3 (2/11/14): More vehicles now allowed
V1.4 (9/11/14): Weight limit adjusted

Circuito de la Sierra Touge Stage

While the Mid Night Club is primarily a highway racing club, we will sometimes head onto Circuito de la Sierra for some touge racing. This post will explain how touge racing on this track works.

There are five Parking Areas (PAs) situated at certain points on the track. These are highlighted on the map below. Racers can gather at these PAs, or drive the course at their own pace. If one racer wishes to challenge another to a duel, they will gather at one of the PAs to race. The race will finish at the next PA along, or another PA farther along should the racers want a longer duel. First racer to reach the agreed finishing point is the winner. Along the way, a racer may concede the battle if they fall too far behind. One member will need to be at the starting PA to start the racers off, and another member at the finishing PA to judge the winner.

After some consideration, Mercedes-Benz vehicles are now allowed to participate in events, with the exception of the SLS AMG and SLR McLaren. Lotus is still undecided.

I will be hosting the session this Saturday normal time, It will be public for everyone to join and have a tryout of what we do. :D

And I will gladly have some buddies of mine join me in said lobby to come up with the final decision. :)

The open lobby is live! (1472-4711-0167-3385-4224) Feel free to drop in to have an experience of the club.

Edit - Closed. About 16 people joined over the 2-3 hours, pretty good session. I found about 4-5 people who had interest in joining.

Could there a rival type system implemented like how it is on what my club idea was (Because I plan to have this and my club merge) I.E

Team Normal Rivals (drivers just looking for a race)

Team Leaders (Rivals who show up once all members of a team are defeated)

Area Bosses (Rivals who drive upgraded cars)

Zone Bosses (A step above Area Bosses, I.E once Area X and Y are cleared the Zone boss shows up)

Wanderers: (Rivals who have special requirements before they race, one such example being a rival who say... want's you to a doughnut at a specific area before you race, or drive a specific car before they'll accept you, some will also put up their own personal cars for bet <Note: once the winner is decided, the loser must give over the current specs on the car and send it to the winner VIA message, the loser can also NOT use the car he or she lost as a result but must buy a new one>.)

Could A/M tuner cars also be accepted but with some restrictions placed on them? (I.E the Mines R34, RE FD3S, Amuse S2000 Street Version)

Maybe also a car unlock system, say if you beat a rival driving an Evolution you unlock said Evolution for purchase?

Zero, as a fan of TXR, your idea interests me, but how are you suggesting to implement it? Is it a matter of MNC adopting this TXR rival style format and racing outsiders based on this formula? Just please explain/elaborate for me.

It's not something I want to implement it's an idea that I want to test because originally I was wanting to start a club with the same guidelines as above (the original thread can be found if you look enough) but then Kaza offered to merge our clubs together...

(Don't know if this is what you meant by elaborate) Beat all racers that belong to a team and the leader challenges you, beat all team leaders and the area boss comes out, beat the area bosses and then the zone boss comes out.

(Wanderers) Fulfill a specific requirement (say do a doughnut under one of the highway signs in SSR5 or be parked at the first exit in SSR7) and then the rival will come out and race. If the rival were to have a G placed in front of them on the rival list that means they bet their car... if you win the rival gives this:

Car: <model here>

Parts Equipped: <Parts here>

Suspension Settings: <settings here>

and so forth, the loser then is not allowed to use the car for X amount of time.

Okay, thats cool. Well, I like your idea, and I would be willing to help test it whenever I can.

Please do, add me on PSN and we can test the idea.

Also fun fact, did you know the former founder of Gemballa, Uwe Gemballa, made an appearance in Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 as Golden Wolf (Thank you very much Kaza for confirming this!)?

Also, if it isn't much trouble, I've made a base for a car class system I think would benefit the club... here it is:

CLASS 1 (BEGINNER)

Daihatsu Copen------------------------------------------------------ TYPE-L880K
Honda Beat----------------------------------------------------------- TYPE-PP1
Mazda Autozam AZ-1----------------------------------------------- TYPE-PG6SA

CLASS 2 (AMATEUR)

Nissan 240ZG--------------------------------------------------------- TYPE-HS30Z
Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX---------------------------------- TYPE-AE86T

CLASS 3 (EXPERIENCED)
Nissan Silvia K's S13
Nissan SKYLINE GTS-t Type M (R32)------------------------------- TYPE-ER32

CLASS 4 (PRO)
Mazda RX-7 FD------------------------------------------------------- TYPE-FD3S
Mitsubishi-Motors Lancer Evolution VII----------------------------- TYPE-CT9A

CLASS 5 (MASTER)
Mercedes-Benz SL500----------------------------------------------- TYPE-GH230
Nissan 300ZX Version R 2by2 Twin Turbo------------------------ TYPE-Z32VS
Nissan Skyline GT-R R32-------------------------------------------- TYPE-BNR32
Nissan Skyline GT-R R33-------------------------------------------- TYPE-BNCR33
Nissan Skyline GT-R R34-------------------------------------------- TYPE-BNR34
Toyota Supra RZ MKIV----------------------------------------------- TYPE-JZA80

CLASS 6 (KING)
Ford GT---------------------------------------------------------------- TYPE-GT40
Lexus LFA------------------------------------------------------------- TYPE-LFA

It'd basically go as the starting member of the club would have a few options in Class 1, and have to work their way up to Class 2, then Class 3, then 4, and so on. That way, each racer feels that they've improved, grown, and experience a wider variety of vehicles than the average Metro racer.

If this system were to be accepted, it'd need A LOT of work with the help of others willing to buy and test cars for their maximum potentials to determine where they'd place in the classes...but do let me know if there are any criticisms, questions, or whatever. :P

I wouldn't base faster cars on higher skill levels, just because they're faster in a straight line doesn't mean you're any more pro than a slower car which needs to have very refined driving as they cannot rely on power - that's just my thinking.

And of course, naming it that way would want everyone to think that oh they're a pro and then ram themselves into the "pro" class.

I have another method of car classes, ones that I've actually tested with another whole crew before.

I don't know...I just threw out a quick idea...I just thought that someone who would take the time to learn from each succeeding class might learn a thing or two which each new car, and possibly apply them onto others. It would be something like Need For Speed- they put you in a slow car and as you go along, you earn the right and cash to move onto new cars after making the best of your car on the way there. If anything, we can remove the titles associated with the classes and leave them at "Class X." You do make a good point though Zed. You know your stuff I'm sure. Like I've said, I'm open to suggestions and criticism on my idea of a system.

Don't worry Grand the idea would've been good for a different sort of style of racing I'm sure.

Okay moving on, so maybe I could get my whole crew @ Kaido Allstars to join in with this too if possible? You bet that I'll be recording this of course!

I also have alot friends from Hong Kong @ Team High Speed Knights to partner up too if that's also okay, but if this does manage to work, we could risk the lobbies filling up within minuets.

I think I'm going to make a new account for serious competition for this club. I'll start with slower cars on C1 (SSR5) and win my money by CR, then work my way up with progressively faster cars. I want to feel like I must work my ass off to the point where I can drive my awesome R32 down the Metro, killing everyone in my way...I maybe considering either convincing my current Touge team leader to have the team able to do both Touge and Metro racing or I'll just making my own...time will tell what'll go down. If I do, put both my accounts together as 1 member please.
