Depending how long you’ve supported the franchise, this may be a case of fool me once, fool me twice, or fool me three time.

GT6 was my “fool me twice, shame on me” moment. I left the GT franchise, and I don’t regret it.
Yeah, after this I think I'm done. I was already on the fence coming into GT7's release, but it's infinitely clear that the slog of moronic design choices is not enough to get through to a couple of good things or good enough to justify paying $100 for a copy in Canadian fun bucks.

"We would really appreciate it if everyone could watch over the growth of Gran Turismo 7 from a somewhat longer term point of view.":lol:80 euros and the player is supposed to wait for the complete game?!
The funniest part is that years down the line when the game finally reached the promised utopia, you'll most likely also be able to get it at a huge discounted price through a sale.
So essentially buying this at launch is paying more for less, and then also being told "lol just wait".
Truly insane.

The only compensation I want is proper compensation for racing and actual compensation for racing online lobbies.
Buy ACC and join a league. Infinitely better than the absolute joke contained within Gran Turismo 7 and pawned off as multiplayer. No wonder the FIA didn't renew or extend the contract.

At the same time the pricing of cars is an important element that conveys their value and rarity, so I do think it’s important for it to be linked with the real world prices.
I want to make GT7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars lots of different ways, and if possible would like to try to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again.
Gosh i don't mean to harp on this but I'm just sitting here stewing about this quote from Kaz.. I mean, if you made all of the races worth a decent amount of credits like 90,000cr - 100,000cr or more I wouldn't grid just one race over and over again!!!!!!! It blows my mind that he could be that dense to think restricting payouts would make me want to race in other races. It is so ludicrous. I want to collect and drive the cars from the legend car dealership and you just made it so frustratingly difficult I want to stop playing!! And in the end I know Kaz isn't dense, he and his company made a decision to make the most grindy GT economy ever to get people to buy their macrotransactions.. Stop lying to my face, Kaz.. ugh ok I'm done.

Literally all it would take is a 50% increase to the current race payouts, they're digging their heels in because they're arrogant enough to think this blows over while posting disingenuous apologies to paint themselves as the victim.

are there ACC leagues/active online community on PS5? The PC version makes me really motion sick for some reason.

There is always at least one race which is going to pay out more than others. We will find and grind it. Watcha going to do, Kaz? Buzzkill every one of them?

What is not acceptable is taking so much fun out of GT by almost always making us leave what we are trying to do, both on or offline, and modify our cars. Whose bright idea was that?

This is a trash take.

So I read the message from Kaz's unpaid intern.

I take two things away from it:

1. Polyphony are acknowledging fans are super pissed about the in-game economy and microtransactions.

2. Polyphony don't care that fans are super pissed about the in-game economy and microtransactions.

So to sum up, **** this game and the horse it rode in on.

influencers/ content creators (vom emoji) are getting upset so I think PD might change their tone eventually. I don't think they want to be associated with a universally panned game. Unless of course they have no pride left.

What has been shown by Polyphony since launch is pretty evident that there's no point in coming into this game at any point in the next few years, and instead is telling people to come in when the game is dirt cheap and fully complete.
Honestly, I'd say that's the smart move to make these days.

I picked up GT Sport for $15 on eBay at the end of 2019 (so 2 years after its release). Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to play it as much as I would have liked to, but I enjoyed it for what it was. For $15 it was A-OK. Now, if I was one of those who paid the full $60 and purchased it at game launch, I don't think I would have been as satisfied considering how lackluster the game seemed to be prior to all those updates.

People still stream GTA Online . . .

You'll also need an expensive wheel, a stand and likely the understanding that you'll need to drive with traction control on. Always. ACC is bloody good yet I can see why there's very few lobbies online. At least the default safe setups are damn good.

I and many others have said it before - if you don't want us to grind make custom races and sport mode pay out better.

That way we can solve the issue ourselves without waiting for promised events in updates that we may or may not enjoy. That is the issue, we have to play whatever they decide pays best to get enough credits. Make it worth our while to race the exact races we want to race and the grind is gone. It doesn't need to be quite as much of a payout, but it should be enough that you wouldn't question playing an event you don't like over and over as the alternative. Lock out the high paying mode until the cafe missions are done if you're worried people will skip the campaign just to make money on custom races. Don't do that for sport mode though, if people want to play online only they should be able to.

We are living in a world of instant gratification and satisfaction. You all are spoiled.
You think we are all... but are we?

In majority of GT games, it was easy to collect all cars, fast. But the satisfaction didn't stop us to play or just enjoy the games after that, during years.
An example, I created liveries in GTSport (now in GT7 too), and all livery creators are far away from instant gratification research, just by the work itself.

I'm agree with the point we are living in a world where all need to be easy and fast.
But in this case, someone is telling you arbitrarily: "hmmmm... I don't like how you play. I'll slow you a bit"

You can still be fast on some of the more budget wheels.

Also, lol at people treating a 'multi-year game' as something to take for granted. I'll be the judge of whether I come back to this game weekly for that time frame, (whatever that time frame actually is) or if I come back years later. And guess what? What has been shown by Polyphony since launch is pretty evident that there's no point in coming into this game at any point in the next few years, and instead is telling people to come in when the game is dirt cheap and fully complete. Which just so happened to be the same as GT Sport, or GT6, or GT5...
The problem here with GT7 is that when it will be finally complete, its servers might be shuted down shortly too...

Totally agree with you. I thought it would be like that. All the best bits of the other games. But it feels like an updated version of GT sport. He definitely oversold it.
I wish it was an updated version of GTS!!

B.S....

GTS was a grind fest. Could anyone really like the daily spinning wheel with very slim chance of getting any cars of $5 mil or more value. Along with not being able to sell any of the prize cars for any value at all.

PD dropped the ball. They had the ingredients for success but failed to put together the dish fans were hungry for. It's a beautiful game with better audio, good challenges, and better AI. But the credit grind is bad. The lobbies are terrible, and few enjoy tuning for daily races. For the first time in 3 years, I am not excited for the FIAs.
