So, Kaz survived the race at the Sachsenring, but only just. According to his tweets, he was involved in a high speed impact with a wall of snow that then proceeded to collapse on top of him and his car. He describes the event as scary and that he thought he was going to die.

Can someone please translate Kaz latest tweet, google don't make sense but it's something about the UI!

Tweet is -

In short: Kaz agrees that there are problems in a user interface which allows to select "restart race" so easily as the user reported.

The next tweet was "interesting" too. I'm translating it fully:

UIを使いやすいものにするのは、そう簡単じゃない。テストしたって気づかないことはある。RT @celicagt4205: この発言 トップが言う事か? テストしてないだろう

Is that really something that the head [of Polyphony Digital] would say? You don't test games, do you?
Kaz_Yamauchi: It's not that easy to make the UI simple to use. There are things that slip by even after testing.

I don't really get the top tweet? Is it that the UI makes it too hard to restart a race? I don't see how selecting "Restart race" being too simple a bad thing.

Yeah, it is kind of odd when you are asked 20 times are you really really sure you want to install these new racing tires on your car but then you can accidentally restart a 24h race without any questions asked :dunce:

Nice to this small issue is noticed though 👍

Maybe someone could ask are the premium cars also getting more numbers in the physics or is it just a graphical update. What about more race modified cars too?

Sorry, here's the full translation. Hope it will be clearer.

Hello. Today, during the 1000 Km Suzuka endurance, I ended up pressing "restart" by mistake. It was the 127th lap... I shed tears. As there isn't a restart confirmation menu, if you press it, it restarts the race right away. If possible I'd like you to insert a confirmation there. It's a critical spot...

Kaz_Yamauchi: You're right. There are problems in a UI which makes you select that by mistaking the input.

Cool! Thanks for this, I think the next update will fix this lack of a restart race confirmation! I've been caught out by it too, but only in a 10 lap race :)

When you're 10 hours into a A spec Enduro and you accidently hit restart after your toilet break you will realise how much of a bad thing it is. :scared:

Would be great if they could increase the Favourites allowed for online use especially with the way the PI system works. And also include car distance of fellow racers behind or in front.

I accidentally restarted after racing for 20 minutes, I think adding a confirmation to that would be a good update and I hope they make it no by default.

someone could ask him to raise the money limit up to 50 000 000 in a future update ? and did he plan to add some option in arcade/training mode to set weather and time options

Thanks

It would also be nice if I can have in online play "Nurburgring Nordschleife / Change Time / Weather" like there is in Arcade Mode. Currently, we can't select weather on the normal "Tourist" Nordschleife. That seems simple enough to add because that track variation is already in the game's arcade mode. :)

Tweet size:
Could we have tracks that are in arcade mode available for online play? Like "Nordschleife / Change Time / Weather?"

It would also be nice if the Time Progression could be set to 0, then remove the tracks that have non-time changing variants. This would help clean up the track list for online play. :)

Could we be able to set "Time Progression" to 0 and have the static-time track variants removed from the online track list?

I think those are 2 suggestions that shouldn't be too hard to implement and could clean the UI up some.

Could someone please ask him if more leaderboards are coming to GT5 similiar to those in GT5P or are we only going to see these via seasonal events?

I know myself and many of my friends are desperate for these because we are all stuck with very little to do on GT5. Basically we are only left with A Spec endurance events and B Spec and none of us can find the motivation to finish these events. If we had time trials similiar to GT5P we would never stop playing the game.

We desperately need an option to force Stock Car settings (values) in online options.

Thanx for anyone who would care to propose this to Kazunori-san.

In a future update i would like it if the cars that have rear window windshield wipers work during rain or snow, also there could be an update to actually make those fuel gauges work inside the interiors of the premium cars, maybe even the clocks. It's the little things that count to me which wouldn't take too much time to implement and could probably be done in like a month.

You my friend should work for PD. you have good ideas and an eye for detail.
Problem is 1 month to implement would soon blow out to 3 months, then a year, then 3 years, then "we will include it in the next instalment."
I agree with you though, these things should be patched in:cool:

To talk about that... can you guys talk to him to ask about set the Weather and Time of day in Arcade Mode and Training Mode (in GT Life)?

Sorry but thats just the sort of pointless little detail that makes no difference to the actual gameplay. Whats even more worrying is thats the kind of thing Kaz probably would update.

Sorry but its because Kaz/PD are out of touch with gaming today why GT5 is so outdated, old, stale. I remember video games back in 2005 on the PS2 that were more up to date than GT5. Even Burnout 3 had more leaderboards than GT5.

Sure some will disagree with me but Xbox live and games such as MW, Forza have shown the way in what gamers expect these days.

Far too many people on this forum are living in the past and this probably stems from them not experiencing the likes of Forza, Xbox live and probably continued playing GT4 whilst waiting for GT5. If GT5 was released 10yrs ago I would of been far happier but my eyes have been opened to the future of gaming which is why im disappointed with GT5.

When GT5 came out Kaz said there will be leaderboards. When Sony said they wanted a release before Christmas he probably dropped the things that didn't have to be in the release in order to finish what had to be in.

Sorry but everyone wants something different. I don't give a damn about a list of times telling me how good other people are at the game, in fact I can't think of anything more banal and depressing. It adds nothing to my driving experience whatsoever. Waste of development time if you ask me.

I have to agree 100%. At 150mph I don't pay much attention to the rear window or what time it is. It seems like there are two groups, those that bought GT to race and those that bought it to kind of test drive cars. To each thier own but it is a racing game and that should be priority. After that they can concentrate on things like rear wipers. Lol when would we actually use rear wipers? I don't even use the ones I have on my real car.
