I've only really known about KY since the PS3 and GT:HD..
And for me, he's just another developer, lots of talk, but nothing of real substance..
To me it feels like he's trading on his past successes, and now living it up doing motorsport events, car shows and infact anything but actually finishing the game we've all expected for 5 years..
I also don't subscribe to his vision and perfectionism being so lauded..
Apart from the 'cars' being graphically obsessed over, everything else seems to have been ignored..
Skid marks, Tyre noises, Engine Noises, Poor AI, Wall riding object physics, and even damage (admitted this is only in because of customer pressure)..
I think his vision is quite narrow and unbalanced, perfection in small areas, almost ignores the others..
GT5 is as pointed out, quite unknown at this time, lots of carefully vague info about how the game was essentially complete and could be released anytime, where as clearly with subsequent talk about frantically modelling the 1000 cars, and the limited nature of some feature shown so far, with a very odd TT demo being quite disjointed to the games public demo's, it doesn't all add up at all..
Basically, for me, GT5 will be the game I judge him by, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until it's released, but the above is my current feelings on the question..
