When I go to send a message with my on screen keyboard it keeps jumping/glitching. Any tips apart from that no other problems with my PS3. Help

A USB keyboard would be your best bet. Can be picked up for around £10. Apart from that, try to calibrate it in the Settings ---> Accessory settings screen on the XMB.
