JCE3000GT said the C5 was better because it had pop up lamps.

So, How is it relevant to the C6 ZR1? Pop-ups are dead. Get over it and stay on subject, people.

It is on subject, he said the C5 Corvette is better than that C6 ZR-1 Corvette because of pop up head lamps.

Honestly, who cares about a minor detail like that? Adds weight and breaks down easily, anyway. Looks ugly when they're up, Doesnt' help aero any. I can think of numerous reasons not to like them.

In fact, I really like it when they convert the pop-ups to standard headlights. Makes the car look better in most cases. (Trueno excepted, but you could always throw a Levin nose on and make it all better) but it's peanuts compared to the most powerful production car G.M. has ever made. small fry. minor detail.

I care. I stated my opinion, people politely responded and now this issue is concluded. No need to get your panties in a bunch. 👍

Of course it will, look at how well the C5 Z06 has sold, and how well the current Z06 is selling... That still doesn't change the fact it will utterly fail elsewhere in the world, where GM doesn't want it to. Hell they could stick a Chevrolet badge on a 599 GTB and it still wouldn't sell in Europe, simply because of the lack of pedigree of said badge... Porsche's got multiple Le Mans wins to their credit, Ferrari's got F1 championships (including 5 straight cheapskate cheater ones but that's another story) and sports cars history... GM's is... "uhh, the winningest left turning for nearly 3 hours boring race brand in history, oh wait no we've got 5 GTS/GT1 titles at Le Mans but that doesn't matter right?"

They can come up with anything they want, a Corvette just won't outsell a Ferrari or Porsche outside North America, ever... and it's a shame.

"Of course not. Dodge beat us to being the first successful American car in Europe GT2 racing." :p

I'm not sure why we're all that worried about Corvette sales worldwide in the first place. In all honesty, as long as the car sells well in the United States and Canada, well, thats really the only thing that matters. The handful that is shipped to Europe every year usually go without too much of a problem, and I'm certain its much the same down in Oz, in Japan, and presumably in China as well.

We're proud of our car thats screwed together in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It does decently well wherever it goes... Thing is, it was an afterthought to make it big in Europe, so if they sell more 911s and 599s, so be it. In all, 95% of all the sales come from the US, and there aren't any Porsches or Ferraris stealing sales here any time soon...
