OK, this ranks right up with "Ginger or Mary-ann?"

At chilifest, I had a reference, that I was surprised more people didn't know.

Can you tell me who Fatman and Little boy are? A simple yes or no will suffice. And please, no giving away the answer.

Nope, they were indeed Fatman and Little boy.

You might be thinking of Fatboy, which is a very nice Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

How dare you argue with "GTP's most knowledgable member"tm. :rolleyes: It should be Little boy and Fatman. Unless by some strange coincedence we're thinking of two entirely different things.

I've been to their museum. It's a rather interesting place. It always seemed odd to me that my Hungarian grandfather was so proud that more than half the scientists who worked on Fatman and Little Boy were Hungarian. I don't know that that is something I would be so proud of.

However, if memory serves, the people working on them didn't exactly know what it was they were working on. They each had their little part and that was about all they knew.

Edit: Or maybe he didn't kill himself. Stupid movies, twisting the truth. That angers me.
 
There was a great documentary on last year, which I unfortunately didn't catch, but which someone described to me. Anyhow, basically, it followed the pilots of the Enola Gay on their trip to Japan to "commemorate" the 50th (???) anniversary of the event. They finally had the chance to view the aftermath so prevalent even now, as well as meet survivors, who actually were privy to just who these people were. Apparently, it was a fascinating watch.

Anybody catch this?
 
Aw crap, I think I've got a clue about who or what they are, but I've already voted.

Yeah, I know. My favorite show as a kid was Wings on the Discovery Channel and they had a show just about them.
