I'm not making a generalization or even aiming this at you. I'm seriously hoping that you're employing a slab of sarcasm in your response.

Yet, if not, it wouldn't suprise me. Not you, but rather the state of education as I've seen it. My nephews (15, 13, and 11) couldn't find Afghanistan on a map if there was a $100 bet on it. They have trouble wrapping their minds around Alaska not being contiguous with the other 48 states. Afterall, Hawaii is an Island.

I'm just dumbfounded at the condition of education in this country. My nephews could find absure facts about dung beetles, simply because they can google it. Ask them to make change and they're lost unless hte computer spits it out for them.

You might think they're daft or slow, but they're near top in their class.

Enough of my drunken ravings.

This is my Motherland. In the bottom left you will find Paphos (which is where my mother was brought up). A little way north east of that you will find Morfu (which is where my mother was born but is now under Turkish occupation).
