Anyone exspearncing unusual lag lately. I've played for a long time and not lagged and now I'm lagging all the time? Just wondered if anyone is having the same issues?
Sometimes the servers go through their shifts of lagging. Then again, you got thousands upon thousands of people logging in and out of PD's servers, so I'm not surprised if there is lag going on and about...
To many variables to diagnose the problem IMO. I've read stories of people going as far as to taking everything else off the network at home plus having the PS3 plugged directly into the modem. On top of everything else that was already recommended in this thread.
Ya I always do the the basic stuff before logging on, clearing cache and reseting modem. The one thing I can see I definitely need to do is run straight to modem instead of wireless.
Ive been experiencing a lag here in the last few days. Im hardwired to the router and I figured there were just so many people playing at once over the long weekend.
Ya I have a rather decent connection and I've been getting it really bad the last few days...I was going to post something about it here but you guys beat me too it.
I've always had a lag problem on GT5. My connection really isn't the best, but on other games I didn't lag. I got GT5 and I can't race online without lagging. I've missed out on a bunch of racing series I wanted to enter because of crappy lag.
My PS3 has stalled on every single race (offline) I've played today. Very strange. I assume its not related to the maintenance work but seems really bizarre.
I have a great connection, via wifi, and only experience significant lag when my cache file gets to big. Clear it regularly, problem solved. Unless you're like Camaro, and have crappy connection to begin with. In which case, get a better connection, or play offline.
I just ran an ethernet cable from my router to my PS3 and it totally solved my lag problem. Before, with a wireless connection, the game was nearly unplayable online, now it runs beautifully.
