Laguna Seca Record - Race Cars Only

Okay here goes. I'm embarassed because I started this thread and have one of the worst times:

1:12.668 - GT One Race Car

I can't even imagine doing it eleven seconds faster. Something to strive for, I guess.

Ummm...

After a closer read I have to change that to THE worst time :(
 
It's alright, my times aren't in yet.;) BTW- The 1:01 was most likely done in the Escudo.
 
I must try this Escudo. I get in a rut and always drive the same car. I have something like 8,000,000 points and I haven't bought a new car in weeks.

Can you buy the Escudo? If so, where?
 
Suzuki special lot. I personally hate the Escudo. It's too fast.:p

Is it in one of the last license tests? Going up Pikes Peak? I know that one.

Not really a car I'm inclined to drive. I like the Le Mans style cars, like my pic to the left over there, and the R390 GT1. I also like just about any Skyline, especially the Arta for now.

Cars are weird. The GT40 and the Oreca Viper are always the hardest for me to beat, very fast. But when I drive either of them I have a really hard time controlling them. Other F/R cars I have no problem with though, like the Castrol Supra.

Little off topic... ;)

Maybe we should post another thread for another track... any one but Rome. That's my Achilies heel.
 
Don't like Rome? One of my fav's.;) You could start another thread if you like. But after everyone gets their times in here.:)
 
Sometimes I like Rome. It just gets you going so fast up to the 90 degree turns... I hit the wall more than I want to admit.

I think my favorite track is Apricot Hill. It reminds me of the old days when I had a pattern for Pac-man. No thinking... just do everything at the exact right moment.

But I'm probably not as good at that one as I think I am, too.

And of course there's Rt. 5. Gotta love that one.

Hey, are we using gt2 cars or the gt3 cars in this match up?
I used the gt2 cars and really dont have too many to choose from.
Guess Ill have to sell, get me a fast ride and try again.

1'03.XX in the F687/S wish i had proof but it was during the Lugna 200.. other that that race id like to stay off that course i hate it...
 
My times so far, I did these last night. I'll try again tonight, I'm pretty sure I can beat these.
1:11.817- Unisia Jecs Skyline
1:11.089- Saleen SR Widebody

New time from last night...

1:11.624 GT1 Race Car

And I tried it in the Escudo, too. The times were better (1:03 or so) but I dunno... that car is not for me.
 
It was the GT1 Race Car. It's only a second better than before. Check out my edited post. I'll be trying again tonight. Hopefully I'll do better.
 
Oh, didn't see you edited it.:p I don't have the GT1 Race Car, is it the one from the GT League?

I got a 1'09.259 just now with the gt1 race car...
 
Sorta looks like this thread might be dead . . . ?

I don't think I'll be beating my time, or anyone elses any time soon.

Anybody want to try another track? SS Rt. 5 perhaps?

Well if anyone still looks in here...

1:11.002
GT1 Road Car (774HP stage 3 turbine)

Interestingly enough I can get the GT1 Road Car to drive better than the Race Car.

I also tried it with the stage 3 turbo but it didn't work as well. Turbo lag?

Still want to try it with the stage 4. Vroom!
