could this be classed as a road car? i have never ever seen one in the game, even online so i have no idea. but i just bought one from the ucd.
looks and sounds amazing

Its a gt1 car , the car was used in the lemans 2000

It is a GT500 car but a lot of people will kick you or tell you to change your car if you enter a room tiltled "GT500" as a lot of people don't think it is one. :)

I hate that. I've been kicked so many times in GT500 rooms. Stupid n00bs.

Pretty awesome car... if it was a premium.. but it's not.. like so many that hold this game back.

The description about the car says it was on the JGTC. Unless that's the same as GT500. I know like nothing about Japan's racing series. :yuck:

I didn't even know it was a real car :boggled:

JGTC is the predecessor to the SuperGT, so yes, it is the same as the GT500 cars.

Pretty sure it isn't street legal, it's clearly race modified, so probably not a road car.

I think when people run road-car rooms they're looking for cars that would be competitive in that classification, meaning not built from the ground up for a track only.

Ohhhhh, okay. So what is the difference between SuperGT and GT500?

I think SuperGT is a denomination of series of touring car races held throughout a whole season every year in Japan, without discrimination between two different categories mingling in the competition. The GT500 means the class and its cars belonging to the category - excluding machines belonging to GT300, which are supposed to be tuned up to have around 300~350 horsepowers in total.

While the Diablo is a car that ran in the series, and thus is eligible for SuperGT/JGTC races, in its stock trim it does not fit the class. I believe in the description it mentions that it ran in several different series. In order for it to run with GT500s it needs to be limited.

As it arrives it is heavier by 100kg than the others, but that is not enough to offset the fact that it has 100 more horsepower than any of them as well. It's basically a full GT1 car originally, and its PP reflects this - roughly equivalent to a C5R. I don't know how much limiter/ballast it needs to be properly competitive with the other GT500s(I'm sure someone does) but straight out of the dealer it will surely wipe the floor with them.

This might be part of why some people online won't let it compete. Without a hp/pp limit it wouldn't be fair.
