Lamborghini Diablo is in the latest seasonals?

Can anyone explain why the Lamborghini Diablo is eligible for these events? I thought it was Japanese GT cars only.... (super GT (01/07/11))

Because there is JGTC version of the Lamborghini (Nomad Diablo) that raced in that series before it was renamed to Super GT.

Because neither Super GT nor JGTC were ever "Japan cars only." That was just some dumb decision PD chose to implement into GT5.

Early seasons of the series were even won outright by non-Japanese cars (Porsches have always been major contenders in GT300 from the series' inception to today, and a McLaren F1 won the GT500 championship in the 3rd or 4th year of the series).
