Yes we're not all made of money, and besides, my real life car is where most of my automotive money is spent...

It's going to be a battle with the missus to buy a console and the game, esspecially the more expensive one, if I decide on the PS3. So buying a fully fledged wheel and plonking myself int he middle of the livingroom with a seat and wires all over the place will be about as easy to achieve as me sleeping with Halle Berry.:crazy:

There is another: The trigger buttons on the PS3 controller, if they were like the XBOX360 controller that would greatly improve things. It's the whole trigger effect on the XBOX360 controller that stopps your finger slipping off the edge. I heard you can buy these clipp-ons but haven't found them anywhere. Sorry for off-topic, nuances in my post...

Not only that, but the game will just feel more complete online and offline. Just seeing the diversity in cars (Lamborghini and more) should make GT5 feel so much more mature. I cannot wait to see a Ferrari, Lamborghin and a Porsche in the same race. Throw in a Maserati and McLaren and I'd probably piss myself. :)

This is a great quote, but this quote should have never been uttered if PD had done things "right" from the start. The ONLY reason we are so giddy and excited about a manufacturer which has been featured in numerous racing games is because Lamborghini will finally appear in Gran Turismo. And yes, this has many awesome repercussions. The starting grid in Gran Turismo 5 will capture more of the car industry, it will hold so much history and yet it will hold so much of the current car world, and with Ferrari and Lamborghini and hopefully Porsche and a few others (Maserati, McLaren, etc), Gran Turismo will be EPIC. I say that rarely about a video game.

Yea, I've been thinking about making a thread to express how epic this game is shaping up to be. I'd do this through pics and imagery, but the topic would be locked. But yea, just think of a starting grid with a metallic blue ZR1, a hot yellow Enzo, a red Porsche 911 Twin Turbo, a red Ferrari F50, an orange Lamborghini Murcielago....

.....in that moment this game will be orgasmic. I wouldn't mind being passed by any of these cars, as I would get to gaze at them. And that's what will make this game great. It's about car appreciation! Even if you lose to a sleek, silver Lamborghini Reventon on the final turn of Fuji, at least you can say you were beaten by a sleek and silver Lamborghini Reventon. Know what I mean?:):dopey:👍

But there are not 50 varieties of Murcielago and Gallardo, AFAIK. Maybe about 5 for each, but not 50. Personally I prefer the original Murcielago, but that's me.

Espada, anyone?

All of them, no. However, Lamborghini is known to wring a model line dry down to the very last spec until a successor is available.

They look the similar, not the same and the performance is very different. The original Murcielago uses a 6.2L V12 giving 571hp, while the new Murcielago LP-670-4 SV is using a 6.5L V12 developing 661hp, and a completely different body to generate gratuitous amounts of downforce.

The GT-R on the other hand was different variations of V-Spec (I, II etc.), the difference in these are small aerodynamical changes. The N1 spec was more 'stripped' in terms of weight reduction. The Nur specs had very small differences - significantly the 300km/h speedo. Sounds like a lot, but there are little changes that I think PD need to accentuate more in GT5, in terms of putting all these different revisions of car models.

Actually, the V-Spec II had revised & re-tuned suspension as well as the brakes. It pretty much replaced the original V-Spec.
As for the N1, it was stripped, but it also removed ABS & had a brand new engine that made it become popular among racing teams.

As for the Murcielago (& the Gallardo), some perform differently, but most do look the same. The Versace Edition looks exactly like a regular LP640. But like the Nur R-34, it has a few exterior & interior features to set it apart. The LP650-4 is still a Roadster with a unique paintjob & 10 extra horses. Chances are it doesn't perform that much different, though.


But as Terronium said, this has become more of a "tradition" amongst Lamborghini, so it's expected; they've only had 4 major models over the last 40 years with a couple smaller models that all ended by 1980 anyways, save for the LM002. 3 of those models have also been the only models available within the last 20 years.

In comparison, having a couple limited editions in a single model that is being produced for a near decade & supports the entire company isn't that bad compared to a model that's only around for 4 years & shares a line up with several other cars. Lamborghini's only "crime" is that has gone a tad over board with the Gallardo.

Ah yes, the JLOC car that did a shameful single lap at Le Mans this year before it retired. The crew all gave themselves high-fives in the pits and closed up shop and walked away. I remember the Radio Le Mans guys speculating that the car would be sold for a handsome price. The disappointing part is that the car prevented a legitimate team from competing in the race.

Love the fact that Lamborghini is in the game. Hope this particular car is NOT. 👎

^Since Lamborghini was under VW ownership, I expected the R-GT to receive lots of support and development like Audi did for it's programs. Sadly,the raging bull was more of a sleeping bull. It had lot's of potential too.
