In 2008 VW was thinking on entering, but regulations kept them very unhappy. They say not until next 3 years.. and hmm 2011 should be the year they enter (supposed) and good reason Mercedes, BMW, and Ferrari won't be there , so why not?
Is it me or Lambo will enter F1 pretty darn soon.
If Lambo can't get a GT1 car done right, they shouldn't even think of F1.
It has nothing to do with the car, but the setup. Year after year, JLOC completely forget to set their cars up for endurance racing & race it as if it were still doing a Super GT race.Ah yes, the JLOC car that did a shameful single lap at Le Mans this year before it retired. The crew all gave themselves high-fives in the pits and closed up shop and walked away. I remember the Radio Le Mans guys speculating that the car would be sold for a handsome price. The disappointing part is that the car prevented a legitimate team from competing in the race.
Love the fact that Lamborghini is in the game. Hope this particular car is NOT. 👎

The car does ok in Japan, but they keep that setup every time they head to France. 👎
Who knows.I guess they don't even try outside of Japan. The races I've watched in recent years in Super GT looks like they've even given up the ghost there as well. If your not even gonna try, why bother at all?
I think F1 is a shell of itself now...I'm more into LMP racers and GT cars. VW is supposedly supplying engines to teams in the IRL here stateside.
After Ferruccio sold the company in 1972, it didn't matter. The 90's already showed Lamborghini's interest with Formula 1 engines & the Diablo GTR.Maybe Lamborghini didn't involve itself because Ferrucio Lamborghini said that he didn't want his company to participate in motorsports?
Kazunori Yamauchi said that all the cars in GT PSP could be traded and shared with GT5 - so that means if there are 800 cars in GT PSP, we should expect at least that many in GT5.
So then we can assume that the Lamborghini's, Bugatti Veyron and the rest from GT PSP are definitely going to be in GT5, right?![]()
800 cars in GT PSP? Got a link for that. I'd imagine that'd be well outside the capabilities of the PSP.

As we talk about Bugatti and Lamborghini being the first time in GT, I have something for you.
On one German ps2 disc of the official ps2 magazine (OPM2-ops2demo-10), there was a 30 mins feature on the "fresh" GT3 and on two occasions, where Yamauchi would talk about the models of the game, you could clearly identify the fully modeled, but not texturized model of the Lamborghini Diablo (1990) and one lattice model of the Bugatti EB110. I wonder what happened to them...![]()

Very interesting. Its seems that licensing negotiations fell through as they were working on them. This would be good news for GT5 because if PD is as OCD as I think they are they would have all the technical data for those cars that did not make it. This data in some part could probably be used in the modeling for GT5.
They had licence issues with both Porsche and Lamborghini before the game came out !
