Lansing 251 vs Logitech X-530

Right now I've got the 251s. They're not bad, but definitely not awesome. I'm looking for an upgrade, and can currently get the X-530s for like $50. The subwoofers aren't really important as I use a completely external sub setup. So, basically, satalites, which ones are better?

Some specifications:

251s
Total RMS: 60watts
Front Speakers: 7watts RMS/channel 10%THD
Rear Speakers: 7watts RMS/channel 10%THD
Center Speaker: 7watt RMS 10%THD
Signal to Noise ratio: >70dB (this particular figure annoys me, a constant hissing by the speakers)
System Response: 35Hz - 18000Hz
And, not that it matters, Sub: 25watts 10%THD

Front Speakers: 7.4watt RMS/channel (can't find THD)
Rear Spearers: 7.4watt RMS/channel (Again)
Center Speaker: 15.5watt RMS (again..)
Signal to Noise ratio: >96dB ( :) )
System Response: 40Hz - 20000Hz
Sub: 25watt (no info on THD here either)

So, do you think it's worth the upgrade?

Why not just get an audio card that does optical out and a nice home receiver? I would suggest a Denon.

I could easily do the optical soundcard bit, but there is no way I'm going to have enough money in the next 5 months to purchase a decent surround system.

I'm an extremist audiophile. If I'm going to spend money on something, it's going to be darn good. Because of this, I'm forced to keep my spending barried fairly low (<$50), or atleast I try.

It's like, levels. There are two.
---Here. This is <$50.

---And here. This is like, done right.

I'm looking for something for just the next few months.
 
Then don't spend money on something that isn't the best. You will always regret it as a wasted dollar. Save your money until you can get something that is done right.

This is true. But I suck at not spending money when I get small bits spred out.

You should know, I'm currently under the impression that my front left speaker is blown. Personally, I don't particularly care for a crackling noise whenever I try to run sound through the speakers.

Granted, it's not that huge of a deal, I can deal with it, but that's why I'm asking if upgrading to the X-530s would be worth it.
