Large picture posts - limit needed?

Is there, or can there be, a limit to the amount of photos you can embed in a single post? I'm starting to think that anything more than ~10 photos, posting the links saves people time and of course saves bandwidth. A post I was in tonight had so many photos that my internet actually locked up for 10 seconds from overload. I almost force reset my computer because I thought it had actually locked up.

Opinions?
 
There already is a limit of 200 to each post. Found this out with posting my Chelsea AutoLegends thread with 182 pictures. If it's too much for most, you could just ask for a 56k warning.
 
^ That thread addressed image quoting, this is addressing posting too many large photos at once.

I do image posts of up to 100 and beyond, but they're all just 12kb premo avatars... It's not the amount that slows your computer down, it's file size and dimensions. Cano should have down-played his photos if he wanted to show them off, or kill the IMG tags otherwise.
 
Daaamn. I am so not entering that HW thread until you guys hit the next page. My browser was jittering from trying to load all those photos.

I know, but its still the same problem weather the pictures are in a blue quotation box or not. I'm not saying your thread should be locked and you should use the other one, I just thought it may help you find a quick answer or at least part of the answer you were looking for.
 
The first page on my photomode gallery has thumbnails that link to certain updates. They exceed 10 thumbnails by now I think and this is something used with many galleries and tuning garages and who-knows-what else. I would not like this to be made impossible.
Having things like that happen is just a side effect of having a lot of freedom when it comes to pictures. I actually quite like being able to post whatever sized picture I want and as many as I want. If I need to avoid a page or two in some threads as a side effect then so be it.

Didn't figure it would. I'm just glad that thread is on a new page. People need to not rely on the forum auto-resize.
