Latest Seasonal (wet) extremely hard?

@ SuperSic, One spot I gained on you was right after the first marker braking point. The first corner entrance after the long straightway. If you go slightly more to the left, and brake a little bit later you can enter the corner a bit faster.

I wish i could nail my braking points every time but in these conditions the ideal lap never comes. Thanks for pointing out.👍

I finally managed to get to the top. Thanks to ugabugaz for the setup, and saidur for the sector 1 help. There's still time to be found but at least i know now where and why.

Good job 👍, glad to have helped. What LSD settings are you running by the way and brake bias?

8/8/8
and 9/8

Thanks, I'm just leaving LSD on 5/5/5 as I noticed on the start, that higher LSD settings slows down the time you can gain on the first corner. My brake bias used be that, as it is working for you I might go back to that.

Then that would be a challenge, there would be a sense of achievement when beating it. At the moment the seasonal events are just free credits with no challenge. The "expert" seasonal events from a while back were good fun and round about the right difficulty.

And therein lies the key....those were designated 'expert' level events. For the reasonable majority of drivers, these TT's do pose fairly difficult challenges. You can see that for those drivers it is about taking up the challenge simply to get the gold, which to me seems like a fair challenge. Between different accounts and given the cars at my disposal (only one of mine has the 2J and one has the R390), it has forced me to look around. I golded the dry using a Scuderia (a very fun drive) and don't have the R35 TC.

It still poses a significant challenge for those of us who are not in the top 15% of drivers, some of whom seem to feel that if it is not a challenge to them then it is a waste of time. Maybe those 'elites' who like to look down from their lofty pedestals (and I'm only pointing this at those who see themselves as the be all and end all when it comes to how PD should be setting difficulty levels) should campaign for more events similar to the previously mentioned expert seasonal. It was brilliant, and challenged me to be a better driver and I ended up golding Lotus and Fiat and silvered the Subaru.

To me the wet TT is pretty fair...the wet alone poses enough of a challenge in itself. Maybe extra bonus for those who beat the gold by a certain percentage could be factored in.

I tried this TT earlier in a tuned down nissan gt-r v spec and it was really hard especially in the fast corners, any car recommendations apart from the 2J?

Oreca R8 (was in the OCD last week), soften the springs, raise the ride height (especially the front end), LSD 5/5/5, TC 1. Did a 2.22.8XX with that car with a DS3.

Hello guys

im tryin hard to do this seasonal event with my "lack" of Touring Cars on Garage and with just a few weeks of GT5 in my experience.

So i use a Logitech G27 to play and i had no problem doing the Dry Spa with an NSX-R but the wet one is adding some extra trouble... lol

I use an GTR Schultze Motorsport with some add-ons and, no TC and a few of ABS, a clean lap and i get 2.39.xxx, so i need some help with some sort of setup for wet in this car to do the rest, can you help me?

...or, another car if you think ir can make it better, i actually have another baby's like and arta NSX, and GTR GT500, audi tt Abt touring car, an Street Edition poisoned Audi R8... and 14millions to spend in the account...

but what i really want was a good setup, of good advices to setup my Schultze GTR because i am really like to try this seasonal with it, despite its getting me crazy lol

Best regards, Ricardo

You will need to buy an LMP or Group C car, that's really what this time trial is for. Or win the Toyota 7.

Suzuki Escudo is too easy if you have one. I think 4wd is the key. Getting power down is the tricky bit with the track so slippery.

I got a gold time with the Escudo, but I found it a pita to drive. Maybe I just don't have a good setup, but it pushed-pushed-pushed until snap oversteer every turn. But it did accelerate nicely.

The R35 TC is by far the easiest to gold this event with. It handles and accelerates so well in the wet it's like cheating.

I take credit for being the first to gold this event with the R35 TC. I got in at the start and I had the 7th place time on my first lap, with less than a hundred times posted. :D

I did play with the centre diff to put 45% to the front wheels plus drop the ride height. It still wasn't fun to drive but got gold on the first clean lap.
Gotta get me one of those R35 TC's, are they in the dealership?

Thanks for the tip, i dont have yet the escudo but i was able to do it with the peugeot hdi fap, not by much, but i did it. :)

2J does it alright, managed 2:36.920 after a couple laps.

You're better off being gentle with it, otherwise you'll keep running off the track. The racing line braking indicators are pretty close for this track.

Also if you use the 2J, as the motor comes onto the sweet spot in first gear the tires will light up, so you'll have less traction there.

Thats a good idea, as you say PD could give extra credits for every second faster than the gold time. I think this would work well.
I definitely think that PD should also come up with more of those 'expert' events which were good fun and also TT's in restricted to the same car.

Tiptoed the Minolta Toyota around after 10 frustrating laps with all aids off and managed a 2:37.XXX. Extremely frustrating and challenging with intense throttle control concentration. Then noticed that some people were using the GT-R TC so hopped in that and immediately got down into the 2:35s without even trying very hard.

Huge respect to the drivers that were able to drive the Group C monsters back in the day. Power is definitely on/off when those turbos spool up.

I did this one with Ford GT LM Spec II. It was little bit more challengning, butin the end faster, than some 4WD cars, which i thought could be easier. Time 2:34 something.

Is it not the one in DLC Car Pack 1?

Fantastic Time Trial, Had loads of fun won gold after maxed out downforce on the GT-R R35 TC and driving off line and keeping off the red and white :-), Still waiting to see a 2J to come up & really need a G27 so I can heel & toe as Im sure it would help my times.
