I think it was a 31.2 in the qualy. I do have to say it was fun to be out front for once!

Sorry guys, i really dont think i will have time this week to do a Race Report... :guilty:

What with a busy week at work (where i normally script it out ;) ) and my prep work for the up coming Wednesday night cup races, and other practising, there is little left.

I'm surprised you haven't said this earlier . No problems Hobbsy, maybe some other race.

Aww, :(... I was really looking forward to this one. Well, IRL priorities first.

I must spend about 6-8 hrs doing those reports!

3 - 4 hrs reviewing the replay (several times over) and capturing footage, 1 1/2 hrs writing the report, then another hour to shortlist the photo's, re-write to suit the photo's and tag them in, another 30 to 60mins adding additional content images, track maps, formatting etc. then about another 30mins for a final check over spelling, wording etc... and finally about 20mins pasting it all in to the thread :boggled:

As much as I enjoy it, just think of all that extra Practise i could have got in in the rocket...;)

I'm trying to find a quicker way to do these (for possibly another club!), so maybe they will resurface once again. 👍

Absolutely no way I would have 8 hours to spend on doing them, not that I have the skill to even if I did! I really appreciate the ones you did already Hobbsy 👍 - everyone did, but that's a tonne of work to keep up every week so naturally it wasn't going to last forever.

Now I have no excuses to stop being lazy and upload race photos :p!

Did anyone else notice graphical anomalies during the race on Sunday? I had been playing several hours that day and had been practicing before the race, everything was fine, even qualifying was fine. As soon as we started the race it looked like railroad tracks were running across the middle of my screen. It was subtle, nothing really intrusive but rather obvious and occasionally distracting. I turned the tv off/on while going down the back straight but that didn't fix it and I can't see any sign of it in the replay. Might have just been something with my tv but I've not seen it before or since and it only started once the race started. Found it a bit :odd:

Can't say I saw anything of the sort Brandon =/.

Traditionally such artifacts are a classic sign of bad video memory, though they tend to get worse over time than fix themselves - so perhaps it's a software issue with the game? With GT6 being as buggy as it is that would be my initial guess. Maybe it's worth doing a search and see if anyone else has had similar issues?

It's hard to describe and would be hard to search for. I check the glitches threads regularly and have never seen anything like it mentioned. I'd say it was more likely something with my tv. It's not my normal racing tv and I've only been using it about a week for racing, since nobody else saw anything odd I'd guess it was just something on my end.

Carry on.

If you get it again I would recommend changing your PS3 to one of the others you use - if that solves it then we have a clear diagnosis of what part is causing the issue :p.

When I got GT6 I moved over to one of my newer PS3's because it was a newer model and had less use (I got the two side-monitor PS3's about two years after my first one). So hopefully it's not something with the console, but if it is I have two backups. :sly:

The best I can describe it: when you'd watch tv on an old cheap tv with antennas and you'd get interference from another channel. It wasn't a big deal, my brain seemed to filter it out after a fee laps.

^Let's hope it is just software^

For the record guys, and as long as no-ones hugely against it - I'm going to be ramping the weather changeability up on the Silverstone circuits in the hope we might get some rain, thought I'd let it be known now so people can get in some rain practice in good time if they feel so compelled.

What tyres do we use if it rains? SH or wets/intermediates?

Check the av cable going into the PS3, I had a similar problem with GT5 and it was a loose connection. To this day if I jiggle the cable it will mess up the video signal, but as long as you don't touch it it's ok 99% of the time.

That's a good point Torzilla, though I presume Brandon's running a digital connection (HDMI)? So it's probably less likely the case than if he was using an analogue input like component/composite/S-video/etc... Worth checking first of course!

Evening guys,

3 day power outage and being told "we're going to flood" (that actually never even came close to happening) has kept me busy. What times are people getting on Stowe then?
