How cool would it be if Poly updated GTP to include Le Sarthe to coincide with the 24 hours this June.

And my biggest wish....... A proper prototype or group c car.

Here's wishing.

it's "La Sarthe", and i would be very pleased to download the track, but i can imagine PD make it possible until the full GT5 is release. Because with the ring those 2 tracks are too important for players. They are arguments to buy the full game.
But i hope i'll be able to play a new version of the GTHD le Mans special edition just like last year. It's good to live near this fabulous track !

I think we already have enough drafting tracks as it is. I would prefer to see something more technical like Grand Valley for example.

going with your idea on proper june timing of the 24 hour. Ithought it would be neat if GT5P would run special events the days of the races in real life...for instance, the 24H Nurburgring is sponsored by GT and it would be cool if the race was shown on GT TV.

Grand Valley, what a brilliant track that is! The original mother of Gran Turismo and certainly a track that ranks up there with the best of them.

I'm not a fan of La Sarthe, simply because I'm not a fan of LM cars and on the whole, the circuit itself is very easy, rather dreary and without character.

Would Gran Turismo be the lesser for not having La Sarthe? Yeah, I think so, but it's probably one of my least-raced on circuits. It's not an 'everycar' racetrack, so in that regards I find it has limited appeal to me and personally wouldn't miss it if it wasn't in GT5.

Yeah but Le Mans is what GT and sports car racing is all about + i disagree about exciting. The area around Dunlop bridge, Indianapolis- Arnage and the Porsche curves are very technical.

Then there is the epic and world famous Mulsanne Straight.

I loved playing "The 24 Hours of Le Mans" on the Dreamcast.
24 cars, 24 hours which could be compressed and changing weather.
I would love to see that on GT5.

Some sneak previews of some rally tracks please! I'm dying to see what GT5 can offer to the dirt fans :sly:

Fingers crossed that the Alps make the cut again in the limited rally venues that usually get chosen 👍 ... and bring back Smokey mountain and Tahiti Circuit too!

I hope it comes with GT5 not Prologue update. Because I do not want to be spoiled.

Really? Don't you think GT5P as it is now in terms of car and track content will be long past it expiration date by the time GT5 proper comes around? I suppose the multiplayer and damage update will go a fair way to breathing new life into GT5P.

Im bit confused on what are you trying to say.. you mean GT5P has too littile or too much content?

+1

I love that track!! The corners, the elivation changes, and imagine what it would look like on the PS3!

Sorry for being unclear. :( Basically, I think GT5P may become a little boring (for me at least) by the time the full GT5 arrives if there is no extra content added before then. However, if the updates to multiplayer and the addition of damage are really good, it may make Prologue go the extra distance if they decide to never release additional cars or tracks.

I had a go on the Le Mans track back in november sony had a couple of consoles on the Audi stand at the MPH show, the track looked superb very fast and smooth you could only use the R8 though.

this may have been GTHD not GT5P sorry

I would certainly miss it. It is one of my absolute favorites and in my opinion is a must for GT5, along with the Nring and Spa.

Gran Turismo would not be the same without La Sarthe. Just as GT wouldn't be the same if the Nurburgring or Monaco were not on it.

IMO, GT needs those 3 tracks just as they need to have Ferrari and Porsche in the game. Each has played a historic role in auto racing and no "racing" game would be complete without any of them.

Yeah I don't know how much more they are going to give us In the Prologue, but I do wish for more car's... Not so much more track's... I can run suzuka or fuji all day without getting board...

La Sarthe is a great track, and super-high speeds are great, but personally some of the tighter, smaller tracks are just as appealing. Citta di Aria, just to give an example, is quite difficult with very irregular corners, elevation changes, etc. Those with GT4, try racing that track with a GT or Group C car... I guarantee the bumps, tight roads, and blind curves will scare the crap out of you :sly:

Infineon Raceway Sport Car Course would be fun. It was one of my favorite tracks in GT4.

Watching all the wreckers wipe out in that uphill right-hander would be sweet.

La Sarthe is fun, but the majority of the pack is going to be so spaced out that it would feel more like a Hot Lap than a race. Also, even a short 3-5 lap run is going to take a good long while. Imagine how angry people are going to get when the get rammed or punted 3/4 into the race. I think they should wait for the full version to release it.

They really need an 24 hour race like that..
