OK i recently turned 15, 30th october and on the day i got my Learner licence....yay. But all is not well you bastards you play GT3 all day think u can race past me on city roads. ok scenario.
I was happily driving down this roadat 50km per hour(NZ speed limt in residential areas) when suddenly...... some person in their riced up honda integra going an est. 70kms an hour over takes me.

OK whats the deal. There is no need for that. So calm your driving down and give learners a chance to do wat they do best LEARN. My car is a Black Magna and it'l have a L plate on it so if u see me give us a wave.(yea right)

Yeah, Ive got my learners too, under a month now till I get my restricted. Learners is **** unless your driving with a (older) mate cos the olds like to kill all the fun, unless theyve had a few:lol:
 
I can get my license at any time now...I just haven't gone for it. Surprisingly, I haven't driven a car in around a month.

Doesn't make sense to me...

Once I was driving the 3 with my bro, my mom and dad were in the Probe on the way to my grandparents house. We were at a light, and my dad takes off normally, and so do I, then he starts playing around and flooring it and stuff, and he had the windows down as did we(a mild October day if I can remember right), and I was sick of this playing around stuff cause I didn't want him to cut me off or something, so I floored it, the 3 downshifted and I let the revs go all the way up and then I let off the gas, and my dad kinda gave me this "Ohh you better not in my car" look at me.

I don't mind driving with my parents...a lot of times my dad plays around and stuff, and he actually helps me a lot by not critisizing unless it's totally bad. My mom...well she critisizes me a fair amount, and she gets nervous.

The best person to drive with(well, that's driving solo) is my bro(and it's illegal, but who cares?). He lets me have fun and stuff, and it's just a good time.

Hopefully I'll get my license in a week or so, and then I'm going to drive up to school, and park illegally since they have this crap about parking spaces, and then they will give me a $5 ticket(which are fake, if you don't pay nothing happens), and it'll be great.
 
^^ yep, last night my mate stayed the night and him and I took off (illegally) in my mums Primera while she was at work. There is this this steep street up the road from me. Off it, going up is a 60 degree turn. In a fwd, the outside front doesnt have any weight, so we smoked it up (I wish I had the camera on me). ****ing awesome. There would be no way I could do that with one of my parents in the car.

Yea, FF cars are exellent for that. It's great fun, and that wheel can spin for ever!

My bro even got the 323 to do it, no smoke, but for a 82HP auto, any skidding is a great accomplishment. ;)

In my bro's cars, there is a great tendancy to spin the wheel with less weight. In his MX-6(the fastest of his 3 cars), there's slick pavement on the road that the junkyard my bro works/ed(he's not working there at the moment, it's winter and there's not much to be done there) at, and in 2nd gear, flat out, any slight weight change, and it's skidding. If he tries to do it(turning, revving, and flooring(there's a stop light that we turn left at, all slick pavement), it's spinning forever.

Fun stuff.
 
I can't wait till I get my own car. I can sit my restricted in April this year, too far away! I havent had any lessons recently either.
 
No, its the way the corner is. Its good in a fwd or rwd. The outside front has no weight on it, then the inside rear has none. Its the best corner for wheelspins (its a 10kmh corner).

one time going up a hill (hill start) with my Dad in the car I (deliberately) give it too much gas and presto instant fun. Yea the magnas FF so there is like no weight on the front wheels.
I say "um.. sorry dad" and he dont care but sometimes ****

Driving isn't all it's cracked up to be. Sure when you first get your license you think its incredibly cool, but once you have been driving for several months you realize that its just transportation from one point to another. I've been driving for two years now, and while I don't have a lot of winter driving experience, I know I'm a fairly safe driver.
The funny thing is though, I had my first accident yesterday but it was not my fault. I got rearended at a stop sign because the car behind me lost traction and slid into the bumper of my truck. It didn't damage it other than a few scratches on the bumper but the other person's car had a broken headlight and a dented hood. Not cool. I guess it kind of helped that my truck sits 2 feet(Aprox.) or so off the ground; it could have been worse.
 
Naa Matrix. My dad's been driving for nearly 34 years, and he still goes down the highway at over 100mph and takes corners fast. Driving never gets boring. Even my mom sometimes plays around in the MPV.

Sure, if you only look at driving as shear trasportation that's all it's gonna be. We seem to see driving as both trasportation and a form of entertainment. Combine the 2 in one trip, and you've got us. Weather it's going down the highway at nearly twice the limit on the way to Sears, or riding home from school and taking a sharp turn at nearly 3 times the suggested speed.

Sure, it's wrong(morally and legally), but if cars were merely for A to B transportation, why would companys allow them to go so fast? ;)
 
Well, there's two types of driving: the kind you do to get somewhere, and the kind you to simply to drive. The latter never gets boring, but trust me, the same commute over and over again, gets pretty dull.

I know what you mean. I've only been driving for a little under 2 years(legally), and I've already reached that point where I would rather have a friend drive their car than drive my own.

Occasionally I get the urge to do something stupid, but very rarely.

(Note: This is in the GS300. If we're talking about the T/A....ha!...all maturity/responsibility/boredom with driving/etc goes flying out the window the moment the key hits the igniton;))
 
I still have fun driving. Been doing it for about three years now. Doesn't matter if it's just an everyday commute somewhere or a nice drive along the countryside just to let some steam out. Driving means fun times.
