Least Favorite Tracks?

Nurburgring is sooooooo frustrating...7'54 in a zr1 and I just can't beat it...need sleep. Great track though, favourite and least favourite.
 
I dont get the hate for R246, it's designed for high end vehicles. It's great for rythm and flow in cars above 500hp.
Cape Ring and London are boring, boring tracks. Fuji is awful as well, what a lifeless, bland track. Tsukuba is fine for anything under 500hp.

If I had the money I would literally buy a ton of property on a mountain and make an exact replica of Trial Mountain. It always has been my favorite GT track.
 
Of all the tracks I played in, Monza seems to be the one I dislike the most. Apart from the fact that 90% of people cut the chicanes, it is a track where it seems like the fastest car in a straight line wins.

I disagree with you. If I had the money I would go into the forest and recreate the Deep Forest Raceway. I love it, absolutely love it.

But on topic, you know the Madrid short circuit? You know, the one that's basically a glorified triangle made up of three streets and three tight corners?

What a waste.

I'm a drifter and that map still sucks.
I rather drift on SS7. (No, arab "drift" is just pirouettes and power slide).
 
Cape Ring takes the cake as my all time least favorite track.

Although, Cote d' Azur ranks as one of my favorite tracks behind Nurburgring 24H and Trail Mountain. Though, I wish Red Rock Valley from GT2 transferred through all GT games afterward.


Why people hate Cote so much is beyond me. :\

Tsukuba is the worst for me. It's such a boring track and so short. You turn right, then left, then right again onto the big last turn and the lap is over. I can't believe PD put two endurance races on it too. So many other tracks to put the Tsukuba 9 hour race on.
 
Now that I think about it, GT5 may be the worst in the series when it comes to tracks. They omitted so many great tracks from the previous games that made them great
 
Fuji does absolutely nothing for me. I respect those who thought that the 80's/90's versions were bland and boring but at least I found those ones fun to race on. I'm still worn out on Tsukuba from GT4 so it's not high on my list. And while I don't necessarily hate them, I don't care a lot for London or Madrid (Seattle blows both of them out of the water).

Trial Mountain has to be my favourite fake track. Cape Ring is good fun. No-one mentions the more than 360 turn at autumn ring, but hates the one at cape ring.

Most city track are aweful. London is terrible. Madrid is nearly as bad. Im so glad they got rid of new york and seoul from GT4. The only city I like is Tokyo because it has nice wide corners for most of the track. I only like monaco because it is at least is a real circuit with history. i dont really enjoy driving it very much but at least it is a challenging track.

SSR7. It's only good for machine testing. There's no challenge to it. They should have just left in Test Course.

Yep and the "What the hell is that? In a car game?" fireworks, really big waste of time instead of creating other premium cars 👎
London reverse is one of my favourites, You should try it with a 500hp race car (skills needed)

Well, my experience tells me that many drifting lobbies are set up at Tsukuba, and I have to tell you that I once entered one and the guys were beasts :)
Pretty strange you like to drift in such a straight, long track, isn't it? ;)
 
Rome, London, Eiger, SSR7, Ovals, Rally, Tokyo, Cape Ring,
 
Wow, I actually like full Cape Ring. I think it's a good track for testing cars. But I do understand why others wouldn't like it. The jump may have been a bit much.

Anyway, the only track I truly hate is Rome. So bland compared to the old track, which was my favorite in the whole GT Series. Heck, I loved that track so much, I even began to become interested in the actual city. The old track was perfectly fine. I don't know who's dumb idea it was to turn it into a boring rectangular circuit. I'm praying it will show up again in GT6.

Oh, I also think SSR7 is pretty boring too, which is sad, because it had potential. It would have been better if had different variations of highways to go along with the long straight.
 
Least favorite (but not hated!): Fuji, Daytona, Circuit de la Sarthe, Indianapolis & High Speed Ring. :indiff:
 
Cape ring and Daytona, they just do not flow at all and are a pain in the arse to drive, they're never fun no matter how often I drive on them. :yuck:

And ''new'' Fuji, I loved the old one from the 80's with the long fast right hand bend just before the main straight, the new Fuji with all the huge tarmac run-offs is ugly as sin and the strange super slow blind chicanes make it really awkward to drive.

Poor Fuji track. :nervous:
 
My sound weird but Circuit de La sarthe is verrrrrrrry boring!!!!. There are alot of boring tracks in this game. Tsukuba is boring too. I miss El Captain, Twin Ring Motegi, Infineon Raceway. Red Rock Valley from GT2
 
I hate Cape Ring.
I wish SSR11 and test course were back.
or a mega-jigga combination of all the SSR's!!!!

All of the Rally tracks.
I can't stand the way GT5 portrays rally racing, it just feels wrong.

Everything else is OK, but I do miss quite a few of the older MIA tracks.

What, you mean real rallies aren't in vast landscapes of absolutely nothing on tracks wider than a German Autobahn, with restrictive tape along the whole route?

I do wonder if PD actually watched ANY rallying before making those tracks.
 
Fuji, Madrid, Tokyo, Daytona and Indy...I can't express my hate towards these tracks well enough......

Nords, N-ring, Trial, Deep F and some editions of the Cape ring are freaking awesome! Deep Forest is the best!


the rest are ok or meh....so yeah I'm quite disapointed with the tracklist for this game....

I disagree for those people who dislike circuit delasarthe which makes me being 100% driver in gt4, when i saw loeb doing time attack trial on international japanese racing server he did 3:12 ~ on that vid i tried and repeated a lap without completing it, copying when he pale his caron a corner even he cuts it until i complete a lap and beat his lap over a hundered tried repeating a sinle corner and aim more to beat those top 1 guys after that and it just natural flows without doing a hundedr practive and yet the high is 3:0'8s and i came 3:04's believe me its on RM tires with same rule, even i very disagree how they treat their gas and brake specially yamauchi who has a very nasty braking habit on his feet when i saw on his vid, and i think GT4 have better solid handling than Gt5, no offense, ifelt gt5 is like a game made to purposley experience counter steer or shall i called the real counter steer simulation.

I find it funny that some people dislike Nurburgring more than other tracks. For me this is the most awesome track in any game anywhere. I had never owned a PSX or PS2 until my brother brought a copy of GT4 with him on vacation. He wanted me to check it out so he stuck me in an RUF GTR and put me on the Nurburgring for the first time.

Needless to say I was off track about as much as on driving for the first time on the track and for the first time with the DS2 controller. Still I loved it. I went out and bought a PS2 and GT4 and was determined to master what seemed to be the most intimadating track I had ever saw.

My top 3 required features in a racing game are Multiplayer, ability to own and modify cars and the Nurburgring.
