Least Favorite Tracks?

Tokyo is one of my favorites! I'm shocked to see how many people don't like this track!

I think Fuji is the worst, hands down.

Fuji - Too many blind corners, and random run off areas. Never really got to grips with the best line through most corners, though I still seem to manage OK.

London - Looks nice I guess but really boring, just a string of annoying, awkward corners, not much fun at all. Rome and Madrid I like but older city tracks such as Paris, New York and Seattle were much more fun than London.

Daytona Oval - The Indy 500 endurance is mind-numbingly repetitive, and a couple of the NASCAR races and challenges there are really harsh, especially if you are using a controller.

most fantasy tracks really, they just feel low quality....standard tracks any one?

I wish gt5 would have some awesome tracks like in the old NFS games....

I've never liked Fuji it's a high speed circuit but i like to use slower cars... so its not really fun... unless i'm using a race car... i was not a fan of Twin Ring either... and High Speed ring... when i was little i loved that track... because you could go so fast... it was that track and trial mountain that taught me how to use the brakes in GT1... but now... i find High Speed Ring fun occationally... mostly with fast cars... however i would never wish for it to go away because its such an important part in GT history...

^This^

Fuji is just awful. And if you have an understeery/oversteery car it's a nightmare. Tsukuba only works with slower cars and mainly FF cars.

Tokyo is actually really nice as it's full of high speed corners where it's important to have a good exit speed.

Ovals, ovals, ovals, ovals and not only, Monaco I have a mix of feelings..., Fuji a mix too and susuka a mix too, I love all city tracks and open roads, is a pitty tha we can't have the TOSCANA ASFALTH to choice like we have on some events!:grumpy:

The only track I don't like is Rome. The layout isn't bad but its just far too short.

New Rome is far worse than the old one, I don't know why they wasted time creating a new track when the old one was fine.

Full cape ring and suzuka.

I am really hating cape ring, thats a pretty long and boring track!
I love how nurburgring is big and challenging but cape ring sucks

i quite like suzuka and I loved to run the 10 lap Japan GT series in it but the track bores me when the race isnt challenging.

Can't stand the Nurburgring Nordschleife. Loathe it with the core of my existence.

Also not a fan of Cape Ring full, but I really love its "pieces".

Rome and Madrid. Rome has no realistic overtaking points so you have to overtake video game style, I like the turn at the end of the back straights tough, never liked original Rome either. Madrid because it's just so boring, when I first saw the track layout I said it wasn't too unlike snetterton and actually had plans for a 2cv endurance race. You can forget about it. I've got some nice photos of the place tough. I don't know why people don't like the ovals. Do the supercar festival race at daytona which is one of the most fun races I've ever had. I like Cape Ring as well. It almost substitutes for El Capitan. Almost.

Hate Tokyo Route 246 and London. Fuji would be fine in it's 80's or 90's configuration, basically anything pre-2004 when Tilke messed it up.

Monaco is terrible because it's actually too wide in GT5. There's a lot of issues with Codemasters F1 2010 but one thing they did get right was accurate modeling of the tracks. If you want to see a beautifully recreated Monaco GP circuit, check out their version. PD usually gets it right but they need to totally redo the Monaco circuit (Cote D'azur)

Most of the "original" tracks annoy me. I think the "city" tracks are cool though.

Of all the "real" tracks, I wish PD would find some way to make them exact recreation of the real tracks. For instance the Daytona Road Course, in real life, doesn't have a wall leading into the first turn nor is there a wall leading into the bus stop chicane. In real life, there's just cones. PD managed to put plenty of cones on the top gear test track. I've never seen so many cones on that track when I watch Top Gear. Also with Daytona, PD has us driving out of the wrong "exit" from the bus stop chicane. Every major road race at Daytona I've ever seen has used the first exit out of the bus stop. Not the slower second exit.

I really disliked Côte d'Azur until I finally learned the track. Now I really like it.

One track that I have really mixed feeling about is Nürburgring. I don't mind it when driving certain cars but at other times I hate it.

Cape Ring I could care less about and I loath tracks with jumps in them. I can't stand Ferrari leaving the ground!

I miss Seattle though.

Cape Ring Full, Too long and the track just doesn't flow.

The other Cape Ring configuration's are quite good.

I can't stand Tsukuba, ever since GT4 it just drove me nuts.. its so boring, bland and tedious (Miata 4h endurance is going to kill me =P). I am also happy that Twin Ring Moteigi is not in GT5, hated that one with a passion aswell. I also agree about Fuji. Plus any of the Oval road courses.

However, I don't understand the hate for Tokyo, I find it to be the most interesting city track next to SS5. I also love SS7 and Grand Valley. Wish they brought back SS11 too.

As for the whole realistic track debate I actually find the GT tracks more fun than the real ones (except Nurburgring, Sarthe and TGTT)... But then again I've liked them since GT2 (Where's Grindelwald :guilty:)

CAPE RING is the worst track ever.

I do not like that track

I cant believer the took out apricot and midfield for this POS excuse for a track

I haven't done any long oval races but I'm sure I'll not like them.

and I hate Tuskuba, or however you spell it. It's way too short. I prefer tracks where I can exceed 100mph and a decently quick car.

Cape Ring Full is pretty meh from where I stand--however, CR Periphery is a real nice configuration for the course, jump-following-loop withstanding. London is just cack: not enough speed throughout, and relatively tiny. Madrid is fine.

Aside the first two, I've been enjoying the track selection so far. GT originals have always been fun and exciting to race on, and Grand Valley is just fabulous.

Can't stand the Nurburgring Nordschleife. Loathe it with the core of my existence.

You actually said that? Okay, now I'm gobsmacked! I could understand people not liking Fuji, lot of off-camber corners - they're not everyones cup of tea. I could even get with people not liking Suzuka - totally put it down to fear of Degner but Nordschleife??? This is a new phenomenon that my calculations just hadn't accounted for. Care to explain what you don't like about it? You do like the idea of simulated cars, yes? :odd:

Im going to go against the grain here and say I really like CR in ANY layout. it has an odd flow, its "pieces" flow well individually and then when each piece is fitted with the next it creates an intrigueing expirience.

I do however LOATHE Suzuka. The annoyence comes somewhere between the second turn in the esses and the hairpin. Why couldnt PD include the west track of Suzuka?

And i reaaaallly dont like the new fuji. That "thumb" has no flow or racing line. I havent liked the track since GT4 and im not going to start now.

And finally i quite like the indy RC. Tough track but well worth the effort to learn it. Though it no longer exists due to the awesome new Moto GP layout.👍

P3nT4gR4m: "This is a new phenomenon that my calculations just hadn't accounted for. Care to explain what you don't like about it? You do like the idea of simulated cars, yes?" +1 to you sir. The Green hell is incredibly fun.

I don't really care much for the Top Gear Test Track, It's fun in small doses but i would rather have had Brands Hatch or Silverstone in the game instead.

Sign me up for the disliking of the Cape Ring, I've tried to like it but it just feels so thrown together.. I hope this is the only Gran Turismo it will ever show up on.

Fuji - Frankly just bores the crap out of me.

Also what is Gran Turismos obsession with Tunnels?, Almost every single one of their Fantasy tracks have them when hardly any tracks in real life do :p

Indy and Daytona Ovals are boring just like Nascar, but I don't mind the road courses. But Cape Ring is just dreadfully awful. Too much packed into a little area and no elevation changes. I miss some of the older "original" circuits, like Apricot Hill and Midfield. But I agree with the majority, we need more real circuits. Spa (old and new), Brands Hatch (Indy and GP), Donington, Silverstone (Arena GP, Bridge GP, International, National, Stowe) , Hockenheimring (old and new), Watkins Glen (GP and Six Hour), Imola (old and new), Bathhurst, Magny-Cours (GP, National, Club), Sebring (All 6 GP Variations, Club), Interlagos (old and new), and from GT4, Infineon (Sports Car and Stock Car).

Agreed, ever since the first GT when I drive into the first hairpin of Grand Valley, arse-first, I know its going to be fun....
