8 mil..... I was kind of happy with my credit account a little while ago......, then came the F1 road car, the 917K, now the MP4/4 .....
did bought it tho, don't know why  :banghead: , must drive like heaven :dunce:
i'm down to 5 mil now so we have to earn some again :)

Now, the big question, can the MP4/4 be used on "career" (for lack of other words) races or it's like the Merc on GT Sport or the Ferrari on GT6?

Goddamn.

Do you have any idea for the prices of the 20 mil cars ?
Those are among the 12 with new engines/new bodies available that I don't own. That full list (so if you have the post-1.20 price of a new engine/new body for any of these, I'd appreciate it):
  • 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Touring Berlinetta
  • 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto
  • 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO
  • 1967 Ferrari 330 P4
  • 1967 Ford Mark IV Race Car
  • 1954 Jaguar D-type
  • 1966 Jaguar XJ13
  • 1994 McLaren F1
  • 1929 Mercedes-Benz S Barker Tourer
  • 1952 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (W194)
  • 1970 Porsche 917K (new body only)
  • 1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe
As I said in the prediction thread, I expect at least 2 of those to be over 20,000,000 Cr.
The Strassenversion price gouge is bloody ridiculous.
I wholly agree. That 5,900,000 Cr. increase is the bulk of the net 7,078,000 Cr. increase I've found so far. The other increases:
  • 1953 Aston Martin DB3S - 1,000,000 Cr. to 6,000,000 Cr.
  • 1966 Ford GT40 Mk1 - 450,000 Cr. to 6,700,000 Cr. (its second straight price increase; get it now while it's still "only" 6,250,000 Cr.)
  • 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupe - 300,000 Cr. to 1,700,000 Cr. (its second straight price increase, and again, get it now while it's still "only" 1,400,000 Cr.)
  • 1970 Nissan Skyline Hard Top 2000GT-R (KPGC10) - 30,000 Cr. to 170,000 Cr. (its second straight price increase, and yet again, get it now while it's still only 140,000 Cr.)
  • 1964 Aston Martin DB5 - 9,000 Cr. to 950,000 Cr. (though it is still well under the 970,000 Cr. it was before June)
At least the 1954 Ferrari Mondial Pinin Farina Coupe is dropping 500,000 Cr. to "only" 3,500,000 Cr. I already mentioned the 1963 Ford Roadster price drop after the July FOMO play. The other 2 cars going down in price are "guaranteed" prize cars (the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 and the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28).

Uhh.. Hey @Eggstor, how do we calculate the car prices again using new engine/body? I just want to make sure.

Edit :
Here's the prices for the new engine/body from your list. Seems like most are unchanged?

The "zero-mile"/Hagerty's car price is:
  • Double the new engine price (engine price is half the car price)
  • 5/6ths the new body price (body price is 1.2 times the car price)

Yeah, okay so most are unchanged it seems like, I attached the new engine/body prices in my previous post.

Thanks. That moved the ball forward enough for me to make a dedicated post, which should be up shortly.

I think it would be a monumental mistake to increase the prices of the 20 mln cars. Even PD would not be that thick.
Honestly I wouldn't put it past them. They've gone full blown scum/anti-consumer at this point. None of the new races have even a 100K payout, yet the 911 goes up by 6 ****ing Million and they're going to increase them again in November.

The pricing of certain sought after cars which is apparently tied with real world valuations is utterly mental.

Another bat-dropping crazy idea by PD/Sony, the in-game racing driver economy does not follow or scale with the volatile economies of the real world, where investors and the 1%ers of this world have access to different funds to buy cars like the 917K.

From what I could tell, PD seems to only go to a max of 20M.
My opinion is based on the ferrari 250gto witch costs 20M in gt7. I dont know if its the exact same model, but i saw a,250gto in the hagerty site at 43M.

There are a lot of lcd cars that dont appear in the hagerty site (ex: 787b, bmw mclaren longtail, etc. And I sopose the mp4/4 doesn't aswell). I dont know if that means simply that their evaluation of those cars is not acessible to public view or they just take a number out of their arses and thats the sell price.

Agreed. And unlike GT7, those real-world car buyers buy and sell when they choose to.

Is the McLaren MP4/4 any good or is it like the F1500T-A where it just feels far too grippy for such an old car?

It's like a better version of the F-1500 in terms of handling but not brilliant in its own right - wouldnt say either of them were "grippy" really... "Grippy" would be the Super Formula which both cannot match in terms of handling (and in terms of fun, personally) - of course because of modern tech.

It's nice to have in the collection (MP4/4) but I wouldn't regard it as especially fun to use and haven't used it much after having a go with it initially after picking it up.

I like very much the porsche 917k. What a car. Easy drive and fast also. My number one machine for battle of lemans 700pp.

The irony of brands like Hagerty and Dior thinking a partnership in GT7 would increase the positive image of their brand!

Their reputations have gone down the tubes in my opinion (honestly never was aware of Dior). If I ever meet anyone that works for them, I will grill them on the decision process and what they thought the end result would be.

GT7 is so bad and frustrating and anti-player that it's even making me hate companies that have nothing to with car racing or video games!

They don’t do it to increase reputation, and let’s be honest, some car livery in a video game doesn’t come anywhere close to influecing the reputation of an established brand like Dior. Selling products in Russia would be a different story.

The partnership is only intended to generate higher brand awareness, and whether people welcome it isn’t decisive for them. It sucks, but there’s not much we can do about it aside from ignoring it, which we aren’t by discussing it and mentioning their name. Their mission has been accomplished. :indiff:
