Dang that Audi looks fantastic.
This particular brand is pretty good, as are CaDA and Nifeliz. Not Lego good, but close.Daaang. How are the pieces to build with? That Audi is amazing! I got a knock off lego set of the optimus prime truck and it looks great now, but man, some of those pieces I really had to squish together and I don't know if I could separate them, ever

The lighthouse is still in the box but 8285 has gone through two rounds of upgrades, both of which I thought I'd post here but the bloody thing is still a bit WIP because I keep coming up with further ideas. It's now complete from the sleeper back wall forward but the rest, well it's up to me to decide if I'll throw the rest of common sense out of the window or stop here. It's a dangerous combination when you have imagination to vision things, skill to actually make them, and money to buy what it takes. While my lighthouse is still in its box, as is the Bonsai tree, the old crown jewel 8285 is... getting out of hand to put it mildly. Having discovered the chance to buy bricks one by one it seems I'll finally build it how I want it, not how I've been able to within the limits of my parts bin. This may escalate "a bit".
This one didn't go well. I bought the 42175 and built it but it never gave a feeling I had hoped for. By all means a well designed model but something in it is lacking. At the moment it's stored in a cabinet, I'll probably put it for sale at some point as someone else will like it more than I do. And speaking of second hand Lego, the shelf it used to occupy is empty... for now. I decided to want another flagship from the past, the only way to get it was to buy used, and it's been slightly problematic as some parts need replacing for a properly good end result. More to come when it's done.Me and my heavy equipment related questions again. Anyone with experience from 42175, preferably hands on and compared to other trucks? It looks tempting and although the scale is a bit smaller than the big monsters form the past it's not THAT different. I've been keeping the 8041/42041 racing truck and the 9397 B model in a cabinet with the big ones to see if it's a disturbing difference, they're both in pretty much exactly the same scale - the cabin 15 wide plus mirrors and the roof 19-ish from the ground - and it doesn't seem so when they're not right next to each other.
