I love legos, recently I made these Lord of the Rings figures. Frodo and Gimli's legs are those from the ewok figures. I'll need to buy two more of those sets to finish the other three hobits though. Anyway here it is.
EDIT: And yes, I custom made Gimli's axe by adding another blade part to the other side, and shortening it.

I also made this castle while I was in the Lord of the Rings mood. It still needs some work but I thought it turned out pretty good.

I challenge you all to create a Lego Ghetto. Whoever makes the best ghetto (I can go tomorrow and take pictures if you need examples) gets a cookie.

How about Monday? Since, you know, school and everything.

[Edit: Not that I go to school. Just. You know. I think I'll sit this competition out, too. All my legos are in the room I had to seal off due to vandalism.]

Ah, finally, a place to talk of my happy childhood (get your pillows out...)! Ah the joys of Legos, the sheer delight I drew from creating things with them. I remember back when I used to go over my best friend's house just to stage miniature wars with him with the legos (of course I'd stay there overnight; one day building the army that had been destroyed on the way over that the other dueling and trading creations with him. Oh man, what fun it was! I still have a few of the creations I made for our wars, and recently made one for the sake of staging my own imaginary dog-fights (I have about 20 space planes, all containing around 450 pieces). It gets more interesting when you get into the Bionicle stuff that they have out there now. I mean, the stuff is sheerly addicting (It's all I look at in the magazines anymore; the Bionicle Comics). I never actually counted how many individual lego pieces I have, but it must range somewhere in the 10,000-20,000 range (and I'm still asking for legos; it's crazy!). Oh well, I'm sure I've thoroughly put you all to sleep with this monologue, so enjoy your rest, while I finish up my forum-goingfor the night.

You know, Jpec? I think our childhoods were amazingly similar. I have all of the old pirate sets and made a ginormous ship. Those were the days, my friends.

OMG!!!!! I have to bust out with my legos! I haven't touched them for over a year! I even built a custom wood chest to house different type of peices in different compartments. I always lost my instruction manuals so I had tons of original creations. If only I had taken pictures....

So, Attila, how is "Project Ghetto" coming? That is, if you've started on it yet.

And I wonder if anyone else is working on it. Heh.

I feel like going out and buying a technic set now, I havent played with lego in a while.

But I had one mean as plane when I was young, I was showing it to somebody, turned around it flew out of my hands and smashed into peices.

I cried, hard too.

The latest technic set I've got would be the yellow front loading digger with the working pneumatics and working 4 wheel drive with a V6 in the back, it was so cool. I've still got the plans, but I'm not sure if I'd find all the bits though...

Im working on it soon, i got a hist projest im working on also. Im still deciding how i want to do it though. mom is gonna hate it, ill have 2 protect it from her

I'm tempted to go bust down the door to my storage room so I can get to my old supply, I've been extremely bored lately and really have nothing better to do but build a lego ghetto, heh.

Your LOTR stuff is pretty cool, but I never was into castle-type stuff much. It was mostly "see how cool of a tank I can build" or something similar for me.

Build a ghetto with Attila, I'll look at that :P.

When I was much younger I was into Castle Legos. I think I got every Castle Lego set produced between 1988 and 1996.

Loud' do you believe that throughout your childhood you were incredibly spoiled?

This, and the following, are what happen when you smoke an 1/8th by yourself and watch a show on Discovery about helicopters.
When I smoke an 1/8th I usually eat all of my food and then........Yeah I guess your right. ;)

Anyone still get the Lego Magazine besides me? I've noticed they're skimping on them big time lately. There's only about 6 pages, and it's mostly pictures of something stupid.

It would make me mad if I paid for it, but my free subscription ran out 7 years ago and they still send me magazines, so I can't really complain I guess.

I still get them. I pay for mine so I get it monthly. Usually they start you out with a regular magazine, and the next month they have the Shop At Home edition, they just keep rotating. I recently got the Holiday Shop At Home one.

Yeah, unfourtunatley (sp?) I do. It sucks. Just stupid crap that requires no creativity, just a lot of blocks (the pictures of reader's creations, that is). One thing I hate about Legos is that the little people aren't flexible enough to make a good car. It has to either be one person or two people and incredibly wide. ARGH!! If you use the techinic people it's ok though.

 Just break their arms off. No, j/k. You would probably like the Technic Supercars.
