you mean PANOZ ESPERANTE GTR-1???..you´re right it´s not that fast(and it even ran 2004 in some races, even at LM 2004!!seen it?) well i think the audi isn´t faster it´s REALLY EQUAL cause the audis performance and "powerful side" is NOT the fast one, but the constant speed it brought in All races it raced in. so audi is not quicker than GT-One, C9, Speed 8 but it is perhaps the most constantly good lap times-driving and most efficient(V10 FSI engine--->very efficient!) Race Car on earth but because of its aerodynamical disadvantage(LMP cars have NO roof as the GT1 cars so that they have a rather "slow" topspeed)it´s not faster BUT IT IS THE PERFECT ENDURANCE RACING MACHINE IN THE WORLD(BENTLEY , too but bentley speed 8´03 is nearly the same cause it has the audis engine, team, drivers,.....!!!)

Your definition of speed ir merely top speed? If that is so, a simple road-car McLaren F1 is faster than a Toyota GT-One....
Now, if you mean speed as "overall speed" (acceleration, cornering, braking and top speed aka laptime) a Audi R8 is faster than a Sauber C9 (it should be, more than 10 years newer), and is as fast as a Bentley EXP8-2003 (I'd also argue that it is faster than a GT-One, compare 2002 laptimes at LM with 1999).
