Lenguage Filter in GT5

I don´t know who´s the blamed for the issue. They should just chill and understand that people will use cursive words, by voice chat or using spaces betwen each character.

Putting on the balance, the ease of use is more important than try to keep the clean lenguage and fail in diferent ways.
 
there should be a sticky in the GT5 forums with words that are needlessly censored so we know when to use spaces :)

I don't know if it's been changed but I tried typing that I was gonna change the circuit, so i wrote "karts at Le Mans" and it got censored. Both karts and mans seem to be naughty words!
 
Welcome to the world of Sony's unnecessary censorship.
 
if you say 'wassup' in your auto messages it shows up as 'W***UP.'

Trust me on this, i've seen it too many times.
 
You can use other substitute words too... like if you're angry at yourself you can vociferously explete the following:

Far king sheet, that corner is a can't....

or:

My motor (engine) had a kransky (sausage) in it and it smelled like undried sultanas (grapes) so I couldn't drive around the Zoo Cuba (Tsukuba) circuit :lol:

I tried to tell some little kids arguing about whether Chevy of Ford was better that all American cars suck (I don't agree, obvious troll is obvious) and it blanked me. It's like the chat filter was designed by the Chinese. This is a game with an adult audience which just so happens to not have blood and guts and sex so it gets an E rating. **** you PD! Let me say what I want! If parents don't want their kids to hear my cursing, they should first worry about why they aren't out playing in the snow or something instead of eating a whole bag of cheetohs while spewing filth over the headset.

It is silly. As I understand it, it's actually the Sony Chat filter, and not something specific that PD came up with for the game.

It only makes perfect sense that you should be able to set in the options whether you are offended by strings of letters that never actually hurt anybody, or whether you want it to just show you whatever somebody types. Which of course means it will never happen. :)

there is no such thing as a Sony Chat Filter...you can say ANYTHING over the PSN chat, it's something implemented in GT by PD

Everyone has this problem, no matter the language. Some perfectly innocent words in English are censored because in another language, they MIGHT be used in an offensive manner.
The funniest has to be that "engine" is censored. lol
(Because it's also used as a slang word in French.)

Engine is a slang word in French? LOL funniest thing I've heard in awhile. Yeah text chatting is a pain because we all have written semi long sentences only have it bleeped out. That's why a mic is the way to go. No censoring going on there! When I don't use a mic I keep my replies short lol.
 
Lazy Liquid, why don't you make a list of all the censored words on GT5 and put it in this thread?
I'm sure it'll be very helpful and beneficial for everyone. :)

Maybe the filter is set couse else the game should be rated 18+ ?
Gotto love te modern days where some dumb**** on top disides to use stuff like that filter ...

EDIT: look 🤬 it sencored only half the word :p thats the way it should be... nice job gtp ;)

I'm pretty certain typing 4 numbers of a specific number (can't remember which one, might 4 or 6) gives the "****" message. (ex; 6666 or 4444).

I just gave up of use my keyboard in the game. Since after i made this thread, i bough a headset, now i can speak what and when i want, even thrashtalk.

I agree the chat filter should be optional. They should also bring back the use of the line break that they patched.

Probably because LSD is an abbreviation for a type of illegal drug.

Last time I checked you could type gonads so feel free to exploit that word until it's patched lol.
