Is it so hard to acknowledge that different players experience this game differently and that for a big group of GT5 players the levelling system is standing in the way of them having fun?
GT4 had a natural progression system in which players had a lot of choice. GT4 developed different types of players: Those who wanted to gold everything and get to 100%, those who just wanted to tune cars, those who were just casually going through the game enjoying the races and many hybrid forms.
In GT5, only the first group gets to fully enjoy the game without any drawbacks. If you like golding everything, this is the game for you. If you don't, you better like grinding and have a high frustration threshold.
And for those of you who have it: please get rid of the 'first gold everything and then come back and complain'-attitude. Nothing entitles you to speak down to people who have every right to complain about their beloved game going rogue on them.
