i like how the is-f look and handily, but hate the gear box. why 8 shift.
so this make me want the is-350 or be able to to change the gear box
and i just want to ask who have the same thought ?

(sorry for the English)
 
You could try putting a 5 or 6 speed gear box on it. However I am not sure they are available for install on this car.
 
It has 8 gears because it is far better than a 5 or 6 speed gearbox, as you are are most of the time in the peak powerband. Also it is running the engine more effieciently to the fastest speed possible in the car.
 
Try putting in the fully customizable transmission. I find that for speed and smoothness, the fully customizable transmission is the way to go. For awesome powerslides, the stock transmission is great. 👍

mm true but is hard to get used to the gear box, especially on the nurbergring sometime i lose my driving( no the game driving line) line when i shift the gear box,

I personally don't find the 8 speed transmission annoying whatsoever. It makes it very fun to do laps with the ISF RM around the Nurburgring since it has excellent acceleration.
 
well for me it isn't a issue, it's more like something annoying ( yep i know it's easy to keep the if-f in high rev but i have to shift a lot and that is annoying for me :( and 1st and 2nd gear mmm i never use those gear in the nurbergring ...... ). i still love the car but i still like to have a 6 gearbox :D or a is-350 with a big turbo or something like that :D
 
A stock IS-f is a pleasure to drive, a fully modded RM it's like 1st snd 2nd don't exist cause I basically start in 3rd gear. It gets through the revs so fast.
Tuners might recommend you buy a customizable box and set it to just use the first 6 gears.

ok, but how can i only use 6 gears? , do u meant to use 1st to 6th gears or do u mean to use 3rd to 8th ? i'm confuse

He means that in the Fully Customisable Transmissions, set the ratios to make it as if it's a 6 Speed (since that's what you want) so basically have the 6th gear at the cars top speed, completely ignore 7th and 8th and just adjust the ratios of gear 1,2,3,4 and 5 so that the transmission runs smoothly.
IMO you're far better off with just your 8 gears, it's quicker.
 
8 gears is a bit much for the 4 hours Nürburgring enduro for example, I skipped some gears completely. Good for marketing, crap for racing ;)

This is car is one of the better premiums for me. 8 gears is excellent so hopefully you can get used to that.
 
It's fun to drift in even though I only the lower gears. What about drag racin the 8 gears will come in handy for the tunnel drags
 
When you're tired of 8 gears, take advantage of the FC suspension and turn it into a 6-gear by widening the gears.
