Actually, I'm enjoying it. Ran it in Arcade and it was paired with McClaren F1's and Bugattis. Won, the race with it and enjoyed the ride. Very good handling and power.

I like it... but I equally respect those who don't.

It seems to me (with my admittedly limited talents) that the secret of a fast lap is to use the car's excellent cornering to get a good exit. If you come out of corners too slowly you won't win any drag races on the straights.

If you lighten it fully then its actually quite fun on Sports Softs and the lack of weight goes some way to make up for the huge torque deficit although there is still little power under 6000rpm and the long gearing remains a nuisance on tighter tracks/corners.

I sold mine and bought a GT-R SpecV. IMHO It's a much better car. More handling, how it FEELS like it has more power, and better lap times. Though its that scare factor with RWD cars thats more fun and crazy.

I doubt it touches the 599xx, and it shouldn't as the 599xx is a track car. I think it is closest to the Italia in terms of Ferrari.

Are you sure mate? F599 is a Gran Turismo coupe heavyweighted, V12 in front. LFA is carbon fiber all over (>200kgs lighter), has 60HP less and is stiffer. So in track LFA is surely faster than 599 but slower than F458.

Why not compare it in a nice track in GT5 to find out? Stock cars I mean and with SM which is the best tire to control powerful machines without making it too easy.

I agree, the 599 is even more underwhelming.

Kyle Busch seemed to like the one he drove... ;)

I thought the car was garbage the first time I drove it. But with some tunes from the Tuning forum with some seat time I was able to post some solid lap times on a few tracks, but I still say avoid any tracks with significant elevation or bumps.

After doing a full upgrade and getting ~750hp, I did one race and Lost 250 HP! I also lost the race:crazy:

I also couldn't get the hp back:banghead:

I bought each colour from the dealership... Now I have 30 LFA's :)

I like that car a lot, especially the sound... but yes there are better cars in the entry level supercar lot, like:

Ferrari 458 Italia,
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG,
Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
McLaren MP4-12C,
Nissan GT-R V-Spec,
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1,

and they're all cheaper...

Try driving it before you tune it, it sounds so much nicer with the standard exhaust, I took the titanium racing exhaust off mine 👍

The stock virtual car is closer to the real thing.
The V10 Engines for the real life LFA (LFA = Lexus, Fuji, Alpha - no hyphen) were hand assembled in conjunction with Yamaha. Yamaha used its musical industry experience to literally tune the accoustics of the engine sound though refining the exhaust note to exacting specifications.
That 9000 RPM shriek that almost feels endless was no accident.

Lexus considers the LFA to be its 'halo' car - and since production is limited (AFIK) to a run of 500 units - I guess I'll jhave to be satisfied with Kaz's GT5 version.
The good thing is I can buy several, mod them the way I want, and neither Lexus nor Yamaha can do anything about it. . . heh, heh . . .
