I bet it will go rather well for you. Seeing as how you're able to just prance into any dealership and test drive anything on the lot. :lol:

I was thinking of doing the same thing, but probably the EVO first. But on the other hand, Mitsu is such a crappy car maker. It's fit and finish is just deplorable and has an all around horrid feel to it. Eclipse being the worst. I was just recently driving a Galant which rates, barely acceptable with me.

But this of course is all dependant on wether or not the dealership will let me anywhere near the car.

I wish i could even see an EVO without having to cross the border. Stupid Canadian govmnt. decided the intercooler wasn't legal for our crash tests, so there's no EVO for us. Mitsu obviously doesn't want to redesign the front end once more for a few Canucks, so they forgot us totally.

Drove a new Eclipse too, it really is awful. It feels so heavy, so porky... I miss the turbo ones.
 
im looking into buying an infiniti g35 coupe. but the policy isnt like that down here. i already test drove it. god is it powerful. yeah the stupid canadian govt wouldnt let the evo in. thats a b*tch. i wanted that car reallly bad. at one point i was even looking into purchasing one in the states then bringing it back over by paying almost 100% tax. then i figured out i didnt have that kind of money.

Shortly there after, Lexus calls me up. I'm hoping that there going to tell me my car is finished. Well, that's not the case. So, Lexus tells me to keep the loaner car and go home. Which is incidentally 100 miles away from the dealership. The service rep goes on to tell me he will contact me when my car is ready and has already offered to drop off my car to me, in Vail, which happens to be 100 miles out of his way. "That's frickin incredible" I say because I have to frigging work all week and there is no way I was going to be able to make it to Denver for quite some time. Splendid!

Other than the fact that there is something wrong with my car and that I'm stuck driving a ugly car, I'm pretty damn happy![/B]

Don't forget to put WOULD RECOMMEND on the survey and answer that service follow-up call, Boom. Shucks, it's always nice to hear from a satisfied Lexus customer.

Usually, our policy at my Lexus dealership is that the aftermarket part, should it cause actual damage and harm to the part in question warranty (say, cutting the springs) will void that particular part of the warranty. So if you mod the suspension, it won't affect any part of the engine-related warranty. If any other type of aftermarket work is done to the car, then the techs won't touch it, so your Lexus warranty won't shield you. By and large, the Lexus warranty is a solid 4-year/50K mile variety that covers everything but tires, abuse and misuse, and scheduled maintenence.

We do install TRD/L-tuned parts, and warranty them for 12 months/12,000 miles if installed by our techs at a Lexus service.

And our loaner car thing works great, except we've recently retired the IS300 from our loaner fleet, and when SC430 owners want one of their own as a loaner car we have to show them to an ES or RX.

:odd: Doubtful i could even get to sit inside the Viper that's at the Dodge dealer where i'll try to test that SRT-4... :lol:

It's only my first full weekend because my girlfriend is coming here instead of me going to New York, so I'll be just as busy as ever - no time for Vipers, then.
 
I dont know about this this "Lexus = YAY! Infiniti + BOOO!" I mean look at the crap lexus builds ,ES,RX,LX,etc the only nice ones are the GS and SC. But all of the infinitis are awesome except for the one (sorry but the exact name escapes me but i believe it is the I35 or something). Personally I would rather have the FX45 then any of the others but thats just me.
 
The yay and/or boo deal was oriented towards their customer service tendencies; not their automotive engineering prowess.

I second with your opinion nonetheless.
