Well I got my license today! The only thing I did wrong was the 3 point turn. And Ive never screwed it up before. O well I passed and Im happy.

Excellent! I don't know about New York, but in PA they fail just about everybody the first time through. Luckily I took my test in Maryland.

I assume you have some kind of provisional for 6 months or a year? If so, obey the rules! It's not worth the risk. I knew friends who broke their Cinderella rules, and lost their license till they were 18.

If you can parallel park without trouble, and obey the basic rules of the road, then you're pretty much qualified to drive a car.

Bah! Most "3-point turns" require 5 turns, anyhow. Depends on the car/truck.

Yea they fail alot of people here to, I hit the curb on my 3-point turn which is normally an automatic failure. I got lucky. And I believe there is a 6 month provision thing.

when i rook my test 9 months ago, i missed a total of 11 pts. i pWned that 3-point turn. thank god i didn't have to to parallel parking!

Congratulations.
Rabbits are extra points.

I hit everything just right my first time through, except I was so nervous that I forgot to turn the air conditioner on. I took the test last August, at about 4pm. So it was closing in on 90 degrees while I was driving.

Interesting...
They call it a Driver's License.
So driving's a rather crucial part of it.

?

The Massachusetts drivers test was a ****ing joke. I passes with flying colors dispite how nervouse I was. Oh an I almost hit a pedestrian in a crosswalk at the very end of the test.:O

Tell me about it. I got a ticket about 2 months into my provisional (70 in a 55), so I suppose I have to wait a few extra months to get my full license.

The best part about it was about 5 mins after my test I almost ran a stop sign. I guess i was too calm and releived after I passed.

I can't get my License until Im 17 at the earliest. (Its still a year until I can get my learner's permit even) and then when I've had my learner's permit for a year, I'll be 17 (as I said above) and after that we have provisionals for three years. Red Ps( its a little plastic plate with a red P on them that you affix to your car, so everyone jsut calls them Ps) for one year, then you have a green one for 2 years. I think there's limits on how fast you can drive depending on what colour P you're up to.

ah man, my stuff was easy. you take a 20 question test (and you can get 4 wrong) then you have your learners. your learners lets you drive in state only and with your parents only, you have to have it 6 months. then you go take the license test. that just consistes of going around about 5 blocks and go back. as soon as i got my license and got out of the building i continued my left foot brakeing, 1 handed driving, and no seat belts.

I'm actually just going to my first Driver's Ed class in about 20-30 minutes. This month's gonna suck.:irked:

I love having my license. Nothing like late night taco bell runs whenever you fancy!

uless your town has a 11:00 pm curfew if you're under 18 (12:00AM on weekends). sure you could break it and hope you dont get pulled over, but ive heard of cops pulling people because they looked like they were under 18.

I've driven at every hour of the day, save maybe from four to six in the AM, and my city has the graduated program instigating an 11:00 curfew. Never have I been pulled over, never has anyone I know been.

The PD probably understands how ludicrous that 'law' is.

Heheh my driving instructor drove me home after my test because he doesn't think anyone should drive after taking a driving test because you're either going to be gutted or elated, neither of which are good driving moods.

I passed though. On the uk scale i only got 3 minors. First time through as well.

Had to do my 'turn in the road' (3-point-turn) on a road where there was almost a foot drop between the top of the road and the base of the kerb. Any heavy touch of the kerb and i would've failed! Nightmare.

I guess they don't call it "Driver's Education" for nothing.

Oh wait, they do.

Its not that bad, I only have like 2 classes left, If you have a cool teacher It can be real fun, If you dont im guessing it would suck.

Really? I only had mine 2 times a week thurs was in class and sat was for in car. It last like 16 weeks. How does yours work?

Well I started today, Wednesday. Today was orientation. Tommorow and the only Friday to go is going to be drives to see our skills. I'm guessing on a closed course. Then the last day is June 28, going Monday thru Thursday during those weeks at 12:30 to 4:30.

I have a permit, but that's it. I'm still driving with a legal adult in the seat next to me, but usually they just give me occasional tips or tell me to turn the radio down...

You worry too much. Enjoy life.

North Dakota. That's why I found it strange that DoZeRxXx didn't have a harder test, because our state has quite a few requirements to pass.
