For the people that are actually there, is it possible to say, go to 41 and beyond? Or does it just stop?

If it is able to go on, think it would be worth it to go further? In case DLC events in the future just MIGHT make you be higher then Level 40 to participate in?

There is no point in playing once you reach LVL 40...

...so gift me all your cars!!! j/k

online racing is the way to go....
I completed Forza 3's career mode in the first month, then played online everyday afterwards...
hopefully PD beefs up the online mode, b/c that's where the replayability is at...

Yeah I know, online racing, but I'm asking if it's even possible to get to LVL41+ or if it just stops and any EXP you receive is essentially wasted.

Do races for fun to get the credits you need, to buy the cars you want, instead of having had to save credits to buy the cars you needed.

Well. many have their mid-life crisis around 40, they usually buy a shiny road sports car to supplement their old age feelings.
Red Mustangs with a white racing stripe are a popular choice, interestingly enough cars that are red have higher insurance rates than other colors of paint.

Some people choose to continue with their GT life, but some... choose to stop it there short due to it being a solid brick wall, which is quite unfortunate.

If by now you already go to level 40 in both A-spec and B-spec. You have no life! End of story. I love this game and I do play everyday but I'm not going to try ad finish everything really fast. This game is meant to be enjoyed for years until GT6.

Level 40 is the limit for leveling. Now go for 20,000,000 credits so you can get a shiny new Ferrari/Ford/Jaguar/Red Bull!

Or just do online races.

I'd say this is where the game really begins, no more grinding for XP to unlock races or cars. Just earn money for the cars you want and race them, try out different setups etc.

Time for PD to add a second season through updates.
That could be great! Just like Top Gear seasons - every year we 've got a new one. Let's hope next year we'll recieve a pack of new competitions and championships. And it'll be a reason for PD to open the way for higher levelling.

That's pretty much what I'm going to do from the start as I would rather enjoy the entire game than become frustrated trying to level up as fast as I could.

Edit:
By the way i love the quote in your signature opladener. That was pretty funny!

Agree!:)

I think it's kinda funny that now that there's a leveling system, people are constantly referring to "grinding", and saying there's "no life after 40", when many on this forum were still playing GT4 when this game released. I play the game the way I always have...there are over 1000 cars to tune & tons of events to enter. I'll try my hand at hundreds of different cars & try to win races with them that they shouldn't win. And of course, now we have online too.

yes to this 👍

I have to totally agree that the game is not about the XP system. I do think it's a decent idea, albeit implemented in a poor way. I like RPG's, and it adds some of that element to the progression of the game. But after all is said and done I'll still be playing this game for the cars and for the racing. Having a crazy huge garage with tuned cars is going to be quite a lengthy project, and I will be going back and re-racing some of the events with my favorite cars (once I can finally afford them), setup to have a realistic challenge with the competition. Racing is what makes the game fun. The experience system is okay, but ultimately the game is about racing. I hope this system doesn't blind too many people to that fact.
