Someone will try to call that a safety feature, more visibility at night, but it's just a "style" thing, like LED strips on the bike, or a mohawk helmet, something flashy that you think sets you apart. For lighting, it's not bright enough to be any more useful than the bike's own lights and reflectors, especially if you're wearing gear with reflective panels or strips.

I won't be lining up to get anything like this, but I can see how folks would think it's cool. Just don't try to tell me it makes you safer.
