i got this thing with lights. i like to see them on sometimes. in gt4 i would appreciate a button that turns on the lights whenever i want. one thing i don't get is the..... i'm not sure what you call it but here it goes; the "un-powered" steering function on the pad. i think that they should abolish this and use the much needed extra buttons. like, use one of the buttons to turn on and off the lights. reverse lights would be appreciated too. lights and a horn, yea, a horn. that would make the game a whole lot more fun for me.

basicly-

do you want to keep "un-powered" steering?

do you want a light switch?

what the hell is the "un-powered" steering for?

ps. i realize there was a reverse lights thread, i couldn't find it using the search function.

You whant to hear opinions? :D
I think is useless
You whant to have fun honking and flashing, ok everyone has the right, but don't you have fun trying to pass the car in front of you or getting as much time ahead of the AI cars as you can, getting the corners just right. :p

Bearing in mind that much of the GT series is set up for the replays - which knock the visuals while you're driving right into next week - I think having a horn & flashy headlights is a GOOD thing.

Does anyone use the up or down buttons on the D-pad? Up for horn, down for full beams... :D

How about burning some rubber?
That would be fun. I have try to put cars to do this in GT3 and the only way I have sort of done it, is been at Rally tracks. I wonder if it will be posible with simulation tires?

I'm just wondering, what is with like all these threads starting, just because the idea was mentioned in one of the hundreds of "I think this should be in GT4"

i want the horn and lights so i can honk, holler, flash, and hoot when i LAP the stupid ai cars. you know, to let them know they are stupid.

you really need them on Laguna Seca? Also how about a button to make the top on convertibles go down (while stopped of course) but the horn..oh the horn...no way in hell. The last thing I want to hear is one of those AI cars honking because I cut them off.

Exactly, these are those "Attentions to detail" that are just a little Anal for any racing game. Windshield whipers, while there is no cockpit view. Working headlights, when they arn't nessicary at all. A Horn...In a race.....Yeah I can picture it now
Final Straight away, you're in 2nd place, drafting the car infront of you. *honk honk* And he pulls over, sooo believable.

Do you use your horn in real life to make drivers pull over? Or to signal to other drivers that have just "cut you up"? If so,you really need to brush up on your Highway Code (or local equivalent).

I'd just settle for more realistic lighting for the cars. Putting horn sounds in the game is just a cure for boredom when you can't get any percentage complete, which happened a lot for me in GT3. When the number didn't move, I just got bored and started to just screw around with the game in boredom. Adding a horn is something I'd use if I was bored. Although the AI cars honking back at you for bad driving is tempting...:D

i just want used cars, lancia's, and better music, or ill turn it off and listen to my racing music (slayer or eurobeat)

well, they have this new thing now with moving objects where the wind finds a cavity and twirls around in it causing a pull, i like to call this WIND RESISTANCE

and the lights at laguna seca make it that much more fun

what would be really realistic would be random weather that come with the seasons. like hot in the summer and rainy in the winter, maybe some icy roads...ok the icy roads wouldn't fly because under normal circumstances the race would be cancelled. but gt has days and 365 days make a year, a perfect frame for the weather patterns!
