One thing that annoys me is when people tell me to turn on my headlights. :irked:
 
I get annoyed when anyone says anything about my driving while I am driving. Occasionally my wife will do the whole grab the door handle and yell my name because the car 100 feet in front of us hit the brakes. She won't even give me a normal reaction time to respond and it drives me nuts. Also, if a passenger sees something before you do and freaks out all it does is freak the driver out, too, which can't be good.

I had to train my wife to either stop doing that or provide useful information. She used to scream "MIKE" and grab my arm if she saw something that looked like it was going to hit us. Over the years, she's now learned to give proper information like a good co-pilot like "Car, LEFT!"

Now if I can just train the built in navigation system to turn itself off, I'd be all set.

So ///M you have trained her well : ) I am in the Process of working that too. My firned Jose is catching on quickly. Kristen before she left gives the proper information, now I am trying to teach her how to call speeds throughout a turn : ) Rally Navigators for everyday road use : )

Useful information... Yes.

Well here's a funny story. We were driving home to Phoenix from Payson on Bee Line Highway on sunny Sunday afternoon about three years ago. This road is very mountainous and curvy and you have to be alert and focused, or go slow. There are lots of downhill, blind curves with sheer drops off the edge. If you get caught off-gaurd it can scare the crap out of you. So after about an hour of this my then-future-wife was hyper-ventilating and freaking out. I got fed up and said she should drive, but she refused. And I refused to drive with the pretty much constant verbal corrections. We had reached an impasse. As a protest I pulled over, got out of the car and sat on the shoulder, refusing to continue under these conditions.

After about five minutes I ended up driving home, slowly.

Strangely, she doesn't really do that anymore.
 
The only person that freaks out in my car anymore is my mother. Other than that everyone is pretty laid back and knows how I drive so they just calmly point stuff out.

I find that the people in my car have an effect on the way I drive, If they've never been in my car I drive "nicer" but If they are used to it I drive like normal.

I love driving twisty roads as fast as possible, most passengers don't like that, I see lots of use of the "imaginary brake pedal" :lol:

My girlfriend's navigational skills are laughable.

She says "this way" and points.
 
I'm used to the wind, It's always windy here. The thing that pisses me off is eating noises, i.e. slurping, smacking, It just drives me crazy.
 
People who aren't at the wheel and tell those who are how to drive annoy me as well. In fact, I don't even need to be in the driver's seat to feel that tinge of bitterness as they start.

I don't have any real problem with the wind, unless it gets strong enough to knock out a power line, therefore the power itself.

I also hate traffic lights where the green light stays on about 1/3 of the time the red light does.

Yup, I totally know what you mean... every southern Californian knows what it means when one says "the Santa Anas are going to pick up today". Those are awful.
 
i like wind, i like it breezy, chiilly or rough... or rough with rain - then i'll just stay in rain, get my clothes wet and enjoy it. i get this strong feeling when standing against strong winds.
 
one thing i cant stand is gino beats or techno music or w.e you wanna call it...

i also cant stand all the ginos at my school who rice up their civics at school...ugh they take the hubcaps off their wheels so theirs just the hub...that really pisses me off...and then they go racing down the streets with like burning oil comin outta the muffler
 
I used to live in Wellington, and it gets windy there, all the time. I mean all the time. This is due to its geographical position, etc etc. I got pretty sick of the wind because in a southerly, (the worst thing to have) it blows a gale and the heavy rain becomes horizontal.

One of the most irritable things I find are people that chew gum and make horrible clicking, grinding and open mouth chewy noises with it. Disgusting, just like smoking. I absolutely hate people who come and stand beside you while waiting for a bus and proceed to smoke.

The worst thing are the words, good, nice and stuff.
 
I was just struck by a thought whilst on the bog.

I hate splashback. There simply is no worse thing on Earth than splashback (and whist clubs).
 
Interesting this thread should be bumped up today. Today is another windy day here in hot and dry Arizona. You can practically feel it sucking the moisture out of your skin.
 
Ditto here — This is by far the windiest day we've had recently. It's gusting so hard right now that the raccoons won't come and visit. :(

We were eating dinner last night when I heard what sounded like a truck driving through our back yard. I looked out the window just in time to see two plastic chairs fly accross the patio and slam into the pool fence.
 
It seems like Southern California and south-central AZ pretty much have the same weather. Maybe AZ is a bit hotter, though.

I hate posers. You know, the people that listen to a particular kind of music and dress a particular kind of way just to look cool, but they just look really stupid.
 
I'm afraid of driving with my mom next to me. Scratch that, I usually HATE it. I also won't leave the house with her if I'm driving until I have exact directions to get there. It's meant as no offense to her but she has a tendency to make me nervous as hell. I make tons of horribly stupid mistakes behind the wheel when she's telling me where to go because she can't give me proper directions ahead of time. She also gasps a lot over the littlest things. Someone pulls up to a hidden driveway that I know is there, she gasps and I react by nearly jerking the wheel to the left to pull around. It's REALLY aggrivating sometimes. Funny thing is, my mom is an ok driver herself. I just wish she would start braking earlier and not mashing down on the pedal so hard

I also dislike spring because of my allergies. I don't hate it but damn, it's almost unbearable trying to go a full day without complaints - and that's after I've had my medication. The days I forget the stuff are just terrible. I usually can't even sleep some nights during the spring because of the allergies.

Wind is cool - I like wind (except when I'm out riding my bike)

Rain is also cool. Especially those morning showers we've been having here in Toronto. The walk to school is really nice b/c of it 👍
