Well, In all honesty I was a bit of skeptic in general about what was being accomplished with these tunes and how much of a difference it was making compared to just slamming the ride height, upping the downforce and making some minor tweaks to top speed gearing.

But in the last couple tunes I've given a shot I've seen some marked improvement over my own previous set ups... so grudgingly, I'd have to say you're on to something here lol.

Thing is, sometimes in the tunes I don't quite understand why you are making the adjustments you did and in the tuner's notes there is, at times, and lack of explanation.

For instance, you might state what issues the car had to start with, how you diagnosed those issues and EXACTLY the kind of things you did to remedy said issue. Just a suggestion I suppose.

All that said, good work on the tunes and this thread in general... it's an overall excellent contribution I must say. Do you have any need for a tester? I'm a fairly solid driver with a lot of experience and generally I'm fairly consistent. I see you like using Nurburgring as a measuring stick... I could continue that trend with precise lap times or use my personal favorite, Deep Forest, as a gauge of how these different tunes perform.

Judging by what has happened over the weekend, perhaps it has become necessary that you place a disclaimer in front of every tune you post. It should be common sense, though.

Personally speaking, I never took your tunes as an "instant fix" and have always used your tunes as a starting point to adjust to my individual tastes. Your benchmark is far superior to the factory setting after all.

I have feedback on your GTR tune that I will be offering back to you soon, for I forgot my notes on exactly what I did, and why I did it. Perhaps not for you, but maybe there is someone out there that my adjustments might help.

I also notice you did a Pontiac Solstice Tune, and I thank you for that! I will be offering you my feedback on that as well.

Hi Paulie, first off this is my first post so go easy! I just had a go at building the above Evo, mainly because I thought it looked cool I'll admit but also because this is the first time I've come accross this kind of an initiative concerning a game and I thought, this guy has obviously put in some work and deserves some feedback
I've been playing the GT series from the first game so hopefully that qualifies me to give an opinion, I think I'm pretty good by now but I'm never gonna win GT academy if you get my meaning!
Anyway, the Evo... I decided not to change the tranny because the whining ruins the engine sounds for me but everything else I kept as per your spec. First thing I noticed is the power delivery, very smooth, much better that using a big turbo. the initial turn in a grip is also very good and it holds on well mid corner so long as you hold a good line but where it falls down for me is the understeer. This is probably a personal thing and I expect the majority of people who try this car will find it puts in consistently quick laps on the more open tracks but when it gets tight and twisty it becomes a bit a of a struggle. It is possible to coax it into lift off oversteer but you have to be trying for it but the main issue is coming out of the bend, it's very difficult to get on the power early because you just get propelled towards the outside of the bend so unless you've picked the perfect line going in, you're on and off the power coming out which is not indicative of smoothness. I think maybe the problem is either too much mechanical grip at the rear or it needs the Torque Distribution adjusting more to the rear? Again, this is probably a personal taste thing and I'll probably get told I'm wrong in a minute but I think while it's great if a car is quick, it means nothing if it's not much fun to drive, this is a game after all and should be fun right!?
Anyway, hopefully I've not offended you or anyone else, I think what you're doing deserves a lot of kudos and I think a lot of other people out there would be charging for this kind of thing so fair play to you!

Got it, because there would be real value in advising how to correct issues you encounter on the road so that others may be able to make adjustments on their own. You'd be like a professor of sorts... instead of say, a magician lol.

And really, anyone's "benchmark" should be superior to the factory setting. I have never had trouble improving upon the default settings.

You guys are great, I used your Alfa Brera tune for the basis of my VW R32 '03 and shaved 4sec off my time at Nordschleife. The cars are pretty similar 3.2 AWD. I love the euro hatches, I would love to see some tunes for the GTI, Clio, and Mini. I've been following you guys since GT5P, keep up the great work.

Indeed. The Lions Den won me over on GT5P with their F40 tune that was used on one of the "A" class races (I believe).

I took their tune, made adjustments to it that worked for me, and finally was able to achieve the gold after many frustrating hours.

Thanks for the review! I can understand this car coming across as understeery to different driving styles, I was just using the AYC to get it rotating and pointing at the apex, obviously I still tried to make it handle well on throttle with suspension work. I can't remember for sure, but I thought more rearward torque caused a slight bit of oversteer that led to slower times.

Interesting cross match! I'm not sure what plans I have for the Euro hatches at the moment, certainly none for the Mini which I don't like myself.

There is no race car version of this car, this is a C3, and the old Z06 race car is a C2.

Oh absolutely, the stock car vs the tune warren no logical comparison, it so so much more a different animal, not just because it has suspension that supports the car but the balance of the setup. IMO it doesn't need a wing or less power, it a fun driver just as it is.

I raced it in Expert Series Turbo Challenge & in the Extreme Series European Championship & made light work of the competition. This thing handles like a dream. I simply release the brake, and the car corrects very quickly.

Just to back Paulie up on the Cobra tune, tried it and my dad tried it who has driven one of these in real life on track days and he says that the car handles so ridiculously different in-game that it isn't funny. The biggest thing he noticed was the ability to pick up the throttle and powerslide, it shouldn't do that. In real life quoting his words "It snaps sideways and is nearly impossible to catch". So in real life we did something similar as I mentioned for track days, stiffened the front and softened the rear (we'd have it softer at the back but it'd bottom a shock out and obviously break it).

Not trying to prove BigSpoon wrong or anything like that, but Paulie has done a great job in settling down what is normally a crazy car.

All i'm going to say is watch this video, it looks soooo slow on computer, but looks fast in real life trust me...

My Dad has a Cobra in real life and he thinks the game has almost nailed it. We put in his suspension settings (Camber and toe only) and it felt real.

Description: The M division of BMW do a great job turning the standard 3 series into a high performance performance machine already, but as usual the manufacturer has far more restraints then the guys here at LDP who decided to take the M3 up another level. The Hardcore Handling Pack (HHP) is designed to make this car into an extreme track day M3 to be enjoyed by all, focusing on stability and cornering over straight line speed. That's not to say the output has been left alone, in the knowledge that stickier tyres were on their way output was raised by 100bhp from stock to just over 500 to give some extra legs on the straight without moving to far away from stock. Nice tune here as well, was really surprised by how much of a performer this car is.

Any reason you skipped on the supercharger? I bought the supercharger... used your tune as a guide and ran a 6:51 on Nurburgring first lap so I think it may have 6:45 potential. Comes in around 710hp with the supercharger.

Haha, o.k. I tried this tune out and I gotta say, a marked improvment over stock. The only items that I didn't buy were the aero and LSD mods, and this car can still pull one minute lap times at Grand Valley East.

I think I'll try this suspension set-up on my RX8 concept (type 1). I think that it may be beneficial on most (if not all) 4 cylinder FR's.

Oversteer from the Acura? Is that even possible? Under brakes or acceleration?

On breaking. It's a very unique corner tho and happen only really on that corner. 99.9%of the time it's good but on that turn no matter how I take it, I always have oversteer on entry, even if I stay in 3rd. It's turn 5 in Deep forest btw dunno if you see which it is.
