Ok, so there are about a million S2000's in this game.... (yes, literally a million ;) )

Can GTP posters please help me out in creating a list of all of them, possibly in order of stock performance, and with prices as well?

In-game cash is getting tight and I'm getting ancy for a S2000... So im unsure weather to buy a stock one from the dealer or wait until something a bit more interesting passes through the UCD...

A very pure sports car... yum.

Are you asking people to create you a list, or are you asking for people to help with a list you are creating? If the latter, where is the starting list :odd:

The one from the Amuse dealership Is the most expensive and powerful 'stock' S2000. It's a very good car, I recommend it, I just can't remember the price.

Thats what was coming, too slow, thanks doctorrg! :guilty:

So is that too lazy of me to ask the more learn-ed (or practically attention-spanned) of this forum to sort this list into order of PP?

It is indeed (and it's $250,000). That would be the one to buy. It's also to be noted that the next two in the list ordered by PP and three out of the next four are prize cars. You'll get them eventually anyway. So if you want to buy one, it's got to be the Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo.

They are all the same.. The only thing they changed is the name.. and then the specs for a few of them. But most of them are 100% identical. They are just there to make the game reach the famous 1000 car mark.

Yet, the Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo is quite a bit different to, say, the Honda S2000 '99, no?

As far as I know all the Honda, road versions are the same car more or less. That means, the EU, US, JP, Type V, etc. Same car. All the tuned cars or race versions are obviously different.

This is a guesstimated list of performance from high to low.

So basically I just rearranged them into race cars, the Amuse GT1s because they're very fast and very far removed from the standard model, the AEM drift car is probably better than the Opera and Amuse R1 (which are high-end street cars), then the more modest street tuned Spoon, Amuse and Mugen came after that, which to my mind are to the S2000 what the Civic Type R is to the Civic. Then the Type V models sit above the standard ones, but they provide a marginal improvement on the basic car (I'm not even sure what the improvements are).

Personally my favourite is the Spoon street car because it's not too far removed from the standard car, but revs higher and is generally improved all-round without being evolved into something ridiculous. The subtle(ish) looks are to my taste, too.

the amuse gt1 turbo is the fastest s2k in the game. the race cars are slower. the opera is also pretty quick -- not the highest HP wise but it is the lightest by a country mile. i wouldn't call it a high end street car tho. it's pretty much a race car.

I also believe the Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo is the fastest S2000 in the game. I'm 2 seconds faster per lap at Deep Forest when compared to the Honda S2000 LM Race Car.

Guesstimated, that's what I came up with. I haven't driven the LM or Spoon race cars back to back with the GT1 Turbo or Opera, but I assumed the race cars would be lighter and have more downforce to make up for the fact they have fewer gears and less power. I also didn't feel much difference between the GT1 Turbo and GT1, but I guess the race cars could slot in between them... Also the Opera didn't feel THAT quick to me so I assumed it was on a similar level to the AEM car but with less power, thus not a race car but a high end road car, along the same lines as the Nismo 400R (not comparing the two in terms of performance of course, just saying they're a lot quicker than their base models but aren't race cars, hence are high-end street cars).

Anyway, doesn't mygranturismo.net list the PP of these cars? Is the OP just being lazy?

An Amuse is a tuned Honda, so of cause it don't have the same specs as a Honda.. He asked for the HONDA S2000, so i answered based on the Honda models, not the Amuse versions.

The EU S2000's have headlight washers. Probably some other differences too, but that's the biggest visual difference from the others.

The US S2000's are left-hand drive. The US '04 should have a 2.4L engine with different torque.

Also there are styling changes from year to year (wheels, lights, etc.).

These things are generally important to S2000 owners (Kaz is/was one). Not so much to most folks. But there's no real harm in having them as standard model cars.

Not sure if GT5 takes into account any handling differences between the OEM Hondas.

Edit - and of course, the Spoon, Amuse, Mugen, LM models are all tuner/race models.

I think he's referring to the slew of regular s2000's

THe GT1 Turbo is one of my favorite cars...if I could only own 10 cars it would be one of them.

I like the Amuse R1 and the Mugen 00 versions.

I also like my premium version.

I used to own a 2000 S2000 US version. It was black with a red interior. It had the spoiler, strakes and splitter. I smiled every time I drove it.

edit: I have all the versions on the list, and yes, they are all different.

It doesn't.

It isn't hard to argue that it there is, because:

It doesn't.

Around the 500pp range, there isn't a faster S2k than the Opera Performance one. It simply demoralizes any other :)
S2000LM/Spoon S2000 are both faster on most tracks.

Really? I dont own any of them, and I even prefer the Spoon S2000 from research...

But is the Spoon really faster on tracks than GT1? Maybe with some crazy tune... :boggled:
Don't see how you could come to that conclusion considering I never mentioned either of the GT1 models.

Kinda sounds like you mean that they are faster than the Opera one, which according to Roadrunner is faster than any other one... hence making the LM / Spoon faster than GT1... which still doesnt sound right to me...

I think I get what you mean though :sly:

Nice try. But what you should have said is... I didn't draw any conclusions, I was asking a question. Didn't you see the question mark? ;)
