I hope the FOMO will be reduced... I really do.
Same. All I'm asking is for the Festival Playlist reward cars to be added directly to the Autoshow once the month is over, so that we don't miss out on any cars in the long run, and so something like the Backstage Pass isn't implemented.

(I actually dislike the Backstage Pass and its implementation, where a pair of cars are hand-picked by popular vote, and that you can't buy duplicates, where if you sell or get rid of a certain car, you can't get them again, and that again, is still FOMO.)

I wonder if the new Aftermarket Cars will provide an extra, possibly time-limited avenue to acquire FOMO cars in exchange for credits. The FAQ does mention "extremely rare and unique cars" will be obtainable this way...

I expected BMW to be missing because of the deal between them and The Crew - but they made it in. On the other hand major other manufacturers that are missing include:
  • Audi
  • Bentley
  • Bugatti
  • Cadillac
  • Chevrolet
  • Dodge
  • Ford
  • Jaguar
  • Lotus
  • McLaren
  • Renault
  • Subaru
  • VW
  • Volvo

Looking at that there might be a chance that the VWAG-Cars might be missing (excluding Porsches, but they always seemed to have a special licensing)

Anyway, the first official list shows the cars that have been seen in presentation video - even missing some, like the 2025 Land Cruiser itself -. The video of Don Joewon shows them all, even the Wuling Sunshine, who did not know where it appeared, is seen.

i think that i discoveried the japanese area that FH6 may be covering
i was checking xbox wire and something caught my attention

ahem
There are three locations in-game where permanent Car Meets take place. One is at the Horizon Festival, another is towards The Alps at the Okuibuki parking area, and the third is of course, at Daikoku itself
we know by the trailers, the Tateyama Kurobe roads would in the game, so i tried to know how would be one from another irl, and to my surprise they are really nextg to each other and to south/west of tokyo

here is Okuibuki to Daikoku

other area that could help is mt akina mt haruna it is supresignly close to tokyo

so with all those pinpoints, we can safely assume the map will cover this area between tokyo and kyoto or maaaaaaaaaaaaaabye until osaka

From reddit. Looks like we'll be seeing the usual suspects returning in terms of Radio Stations

Horizon Bass Arena
Horizon Pulse
Horizon XS
Horizon Block Party
I assume the last one is Timeless records on here.
reminder that maybe this is not final and from xbox wire they promised more music vs FH5, so likely will see more statgion besides the usuals
More music than any previous title, including exciting Japanese artists, creating the most diverse soundtrack of any Horizon game yet.

It's a major part of the business model to keep the user base logging in for years, I can only see FOMO getting bigger.
And yet The Crew Motorfest is still doing well in year 3 having REDUCED FOMO, not increased it (all the weekly FOMO content is available through other means 4 months later - it is no longer a case of waiting years for a weekly Summit to return).

There IS another way. Give people what they want in a game and, shock horror, they'll play it for years without needing FOMO to do so.

However, I don't think PG will have learnt this lesson so, I practice, I doubt FOMO will be lower in FH6.

Forza has the brand power and the user base is probably 5 to 10 times larger, they are allowed to do whatever they want with the FOMO content.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I agree with that direction but it is what it is.

Aftermarket Cars are supposed to be the new barn finds is how I understood it.

We don't even have 1/5th of the car list. It's entirely too early to say which manufacturers are missing. Every release they show us the car list slowly.

Edit: Also, we have Lamborghini, so I don't foresee VWAG cars missing.
Keep in mind too that there are cars missing that we KNOW are in the game, like the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser.

It's worth remembering all the expected VW Group brands except VW itself were in FH3, but it seems the widely accepted theory is that was more down to fallout from the Dieselgate scandal (which broke the previous autumn) than VW suddenly asking stupid money for licenses.

Hopefully there are no licensing issues for FH6, but it's become something of a tradition for the franchise...

Saw the xbox article about fh6 and found some stuff that were not mentioned anywhere else I think, anyways.

I'm PRAYING that Mei doesn't have those cringy stereotyped lines with unnecessary japanese, seriously.

edit: removed those "examples" I made of cringy lines idk they sounded funnier in my head

Dunno if this has been mentioned or not, haven't read the thread, but I believe PG mentioned Shibuya being one of the areas in Tokyo.

So...

Shibuya.webp

Since the Shibuya is so close to the location of Tokyo Route 246, how much of a stretch would it be to assume they may have taken a detour into the area and possibly include it in the game, just to mess with PD?

Or is my tinfoil hat too tight? :dunce:

They mentioned (and showed) Ginkgo Avenue, which is part of Tokyo Route 246. Two coincidences: The first time I visited Tokyo, I walked down Ginkgo Avenue; and I grew up on Ginkgo Street (and yes, there are Ginkgo trees on Ginkgo Street.)

Oh, and is it too late for my Kenmeri KPGC110?

I did happen to cycle past ginkgo avenue today. Something that surprised me about its depiction in the trailer is the lack of supercars and classics parked on the side of the road, which is an iconic site that is almost guranteed on a weekend (although there were cones preventing that from occuring this morning, but I did still see a 2-11 and old Fiat 500 driving down the avenue).

:embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed: SUGOIIIII!!!!!

Been to Tokyo three times, last being 2023, and each trip I've taken a walk around the track, in both directions.

The Inari shrine before the start/finish line, the Alpina BMW showroom, the legendary Honda showroom.

Eaten twice on the Shake Shack on the Ginkgo avenue and bought ice cream from the vending machine stand near the former beer garden.

Walked past the gate to the crown princes palace, pop'd over to the Hotel New Otani for Bond vibes, until continuing down to the fishing pond below the freeway.

Strayed aside a bit to the nearby Bic Camera to purchase Tamiya Mini 4wd's. Then a quick visit to the Wendy's at the last corner.

Headed up the main straight towards the start/finish line, stopping in the Famimarts along the way to buy tunamayo onigiri's, pocari sweat and lemonade on hot days.

Wish for it's return to GT, with full 24h time cycle. The track is surprisingly dark on some places at night. At least on the pedestrian walkways.

The game barely showed any traffic or parked cars. All the cars shown were player cars. It's kinda why some of the shots looked empty.

Very odd, but hopefully will be showcased properly later.

Thanks, I didn't notice that all the cars shown were player cars - that explains why Tokyo looked deserted in some shots. Perhaps they did this as they wish to hide the 360-era model traffic cars from us until later.

On the topic of its return to GT, the scenery around some portions of the track would look completely different now, with the renovation of the Honda showroom, the many new developments alongside Aoyama dori, the new Olympic stadium, the now-gone driving range, and the new baseball and rugby grounds that will likely be built before it reappears. However the layout of the track would definitely still be recognisable as that of the classic R246.
