Well, as the title suggests, list your favorite corners and/or links possible in GT4... This can be a single corner, a series of corners (links), double apexes, triple apexes, etc... You can post it in the form of a diagram, or by turn numbers... I think this will help others figure out what is possible in GT4, and where the best most spectacular drifts/links are, in the game...

I'll post my favs later tonight...

Ok, lets hear it...

;)

Hey DR and everyone on GTP ,this is my fist post on here although i have been reading for quite some time and drifting for longer ,but any way back to the subject at the moment my favorite linked drift would be on deep forest raceway from the second tunnel slide it up the hill and link it to the downside of the hill and try and get around to the rock face on the next straight section 👍 i think its corners 7-10 or 11 i will try and get a movie on here soon ,DT_C has a similar video i think i saw somewhere. i know some people here would probably be able to link most of some tracks. ....keep slidin....TCSNIL

the 2 double apexes on midfield are tough from either direction, but they look good when pulled off. and on autumn ring reverse, after the back straight, thoes series of corners up to the hairpin are challeging to link also. the double apex on apricot hill is also fun. challenging at first, but easy when you get used to it. i know theres more, but they arent coming to me. ill post with others that i remember/find when i remember/find them.

Triple apex hairpin, on Infineon Raceway, after the long straight, Preceding the S turn section...

Big link on Midfield Reverse... The long right hander into the tunnel, linked into the left hander double apex...

I'll probably remember the other 10 or 15 sections when I'm not so tired, and less filled with Scotish Ale...

;)

Autumn Ring Mini - Triple Apex linked into the Double Apex right after it.
Deep Forest - Sweeper section after the first hairpin before the first tunnel.
Apricot Hill - Turn 1 & 2 Link, Sweeper section after turns 1 & 2.
Infineon Raceway - Back swepper section before the final hairpin.
Trial Mountain - R/L/R before the downhill left towards the end.

Autumn Ring Mini - Triple Apex linked into the Double Apex right after it.

and into the right hand double apex after that...

I agree... That's a good one for sure...

Apricot Hill - Turn 1 & 2 Link, Sweeper section after turns 1 & 2.

What about linking turns 1 through 5?... That would be one of my favorite sections in GT3, and 4...

BTW, Droptop, I like your user title (below your name)... ;) ;)

What the hell... One more for the road... ;)

I can't keep enough speed to do that right hand double apex after the triple/double combo on ARM. If you can do it, right on... 👍

I've been unable to stretch out the AH 1 & 2 link far enough to try and link it through 5, so I stopped trying. I guess you could feint inbetween 2 & 3. I haven't really tried linking entire tracks, but I think I'm comfortable enough with DF & TM to try.

Everyone who "burns" thinks alike in that manner. ;) Makes my drifting smoother I think...

The Red Eye Jedi is in complete agreement... ;)

I can indeed... You can see it in my upcoming video "Positive Lock"...

Long fast entry double apex on Autumn Ring Reverse After the long downhill sweeper (corkscrew)... I almost forgot about this one... It's tough but doable...

;)

I like the big circle leading into the big quick snap on George V, quite a rush. The sweepers after the cliff tunnel on Deep Forest are great too...not to mention a great photo op.

One of my favorite corners:
ApHill.jpg

This is one of my favorite corners to hit when I'm using an AWD car. It's a corner that you can hit with fairly big angles and still recover easily from.

The final S-bend on trial mountain.. swaying across the straight, then link corners 1,2,3.
(my favourite thing to do on GT4)
ARM has heaps.
On Midfield after the large right hander. the little sweeper section then into the 90 degree corner (before the tunnel).

Apricot Hill - Turn 1 & 2 Link, Sweeper section after turns 1 & 2.
.

Same here, it cool when you hit turn 1 in 5th gear and get it sideways, then let the sliding slow you down to 3rd gear keeping it sideways for turn 2 left... Then you hang the drift as long as possible and snap right for the sharp kinked sweep then hang that one too... turn 4 and 5 are nice as you accelerate while you drift and the uphill bit on turn 5 makes for excellent photo opportunities...

If I win a Drift comp ever, this is the track I will select!!!

apricot turns 1-5 then the big left hand double apex deep forest downhill sweeper the midfield double apex's both ways autum ring mini the triple apex line trial mtn all turns

What about linking that into the next corner... It's kind of tough, but once you find the right line....

;)

Erm... Costa di Almafi reverse: 1st corner after the uphill section and all the downhill corners...
Autumring (full) is also a great place to practice! It was my favourite since GT2. Especially the long uphill turn. You can drift it all the way with a powerful car ;)

Infineon, the first long left uphill and then the right right after it. then the next left right, over the hill, then throw the car left then to link it to the downhill right. then the next left and link it to the long hairpin right. then on the next corner a slide it out and go through the part they have coned off, then link it all the way down. o yea, and smile while ur doing all of it cause itll be a BLAST

My favorite corners to drift although I can't nearly do it as well as in GT3 is on Apricot Hill. After the starting straight try to link the first 2 corners together (some may say it's just one long corner) then swing the car back around halfway down the straight and hit the right hander and swing it right back and hit the left and swing it back and hit the right. I also like the Tsukaba track since it's actually used for D1GP drifting. Right after the first corner you make that quick S-Turn and swing the car's back end around and make the hair-pin turn, you will have to go straight down the road for a second unless you are able to swing the car back and forth (which unfortunately I can't do for very long unlike GT3) then hit the right-handed turn. I like to add the little horseshoe shaped turn on the side of the road also until I am facing the way I came from.

The key to that downhill left, I've found, is not to have too much throttle, if any at all. You can hold the slide on momentum alone and down shift compression braking and then on the throttle for the direction change into the right-to-left chicane..

That's how I do it in race trim. I don't brake at all (well, depending on the car I'm using). Drifting should be the same

I have to say I love the tunnel in special stage route 5, I can drift there for hours, not to mention it's fairly wide, so you can get sideways with more room =).

All of Special Stage R.5, especially the western half, and Fuji 80's, even though you do have to travel the huge straight.

???

Sounds about right, but I wasn't asking how to do it... I was suggesting that Vinsion should try it... It's one of my favorite long fast links from GT3, and now GT4...

I would like to add:

Turns 1 through 3 on Special Stage Route 5

Lots of fun to link...

Don't get me wrong, dude. I wasn't trying to tell you how to do it. I was just extending your comment so that Vinsion would have an idea of how I do it.. :dopey:

[EDIT: I understand now that you probably wanted Vinsion to figure it out..
EDIT2: I feel stupid for even assuming that anyone would need tips.. My bad :dunce: ]

I forgot to add.. Just lift and downshift! oh, and drift!!
