My take on how these events are handled are disapointing.
For instance, when I was in the Swedish nationals back in 2008, we was supposed to get 3 laps each in every round.
But since the organizers did'nt know what they were doing, we was in a A-spec race with, iirc, 7 other AI cars.
This made us just sit on the line during the first lap to let the AI's dissapear in to the distance so our laps would'nt be spoiled by running in to traffic.
So obviously, we only got 2 laps to set a time in each round.
It was ofc the same for everyone, but still very bad from the ones in charge of the event.
And I guess the issue you're discussing now are of a similar nature.
Like the organizer can decide how many laps you can do pretty much on their own.
It would'nt be fair if drivers had an unlimited number of laps since many people was probably waiting for a shot.
But could you get back in line after those 5 laps, and get 5 more once it was your turn again?
If you're Hager83, that also sit at the no 1 (Sweden) spot in the online competition, I guess you're already qulified and that your time in the online competition is'nt counted?
Do you know if this is the case?
That would meen that the no 5 spot will make it to Sturup in August.
I'm currently at 2'19.1, but have'nt dedicated that much time to the tt yet. But I got much spare time from now until the competition ends, so I'm going to start grinding tomorrow.
Maybee the 3 of us see eachother in August.. 👍
But I must admit, reaching down to a 2'18.0 (I think this will be the cutoff once the event ends) is a bit of a stretch, but I'm defenetly giving it a serious try. 👍
