Well, it does, but not completely.
Regardless of how I start WLM the msnmsgr.exe process will pop up in Task Manager (generally at about 60 CPU and 15,000K mem usage - ouch), but the application itself won't actually show up anywhere.
The notification tray icon doesn't appear, and there's no sign that the program's trying to start. About the only indication I get that I've *started* WLM is that the mouse gets all laggy.
(sometimes the whole computer will crash if I do something as trivial as opening shortcut properties while the process is still active...)
I've done some searching with Google, and it seems that resetting routers solves this problem.
I'm a 56k user, and last I checked dial-up modems aren't routers.

I repaired the install all of half an hour ago, but no luck. I've managed to get the program to start properly maybe three times in the past two weeks - I tried five times today, every attempt resulted in the computer crashing.
Details:
WLM version 8.5.1302.1018
1.3 GHz Athlon
128MB RAM (page filing set to 2GB max to partially overcome this)
Win XP SP2 version 5.1
Help?
